Cammie - love the pics! I totally thought, "what is that patch?" but then I realized it as a spot on your lense! Looks like a small water spot maybe. But that's what that is!

LOVE the pics of the 3 of you - and that CAKE! Wow! Beautiful!

As far as the pics of the others - totally understant that one!

And the cake was as good as it looked - choc.cake with choc.mouse filling!

Holy BIG HAIR Batman! So how did she wash her hair with those in?

About the patch on your arm. Looks like you're covering a tattoo! Or, yes, a nicotine patch. Too funny!

SHE didn't wash the braids - I did! The instructions you get tell you to wash the back of your hair as you normally would; for the braids, you mix a solution of water and shampoo, then pour it over the braids and gentle massage in. What a PITA! I think it did hold up well for 2-3 weeks though; after that, it started getting fuzzy looking!

I know you're going to be gone most of the week at the hospital, so they are "completing" the order *ahem* on Friday. Long story. Suffice it to say that there were supposed to be a lot more balloons in the bouquet.

I know you're going to be gone most of the week at the hospital, so they are "completing" the order *ahem* on Friday. Long story. Suffice it to say that there were supposed to be a lot more balloons in the bouquet.

Oh - thank you for letting me know. Hopefully she'll be discharged that day and will have a nice cheery surprise waiting for her when she gets back!

Ok, I just called Children's; we got the 7:30am slot for surgery. It's the first one of the day, so I'm happy about that. Not so happy about the fact that I will have to leave by 5:15 in the morning to get there by 6. They want you there an hour and a half early - hurry up so you can wait! At least, Amanda won't have to wait around all day waiting to eat again; she can't have any food after midnight tonite!

Jillian - CSR or WL in Oct next year? WE're staying at CSR for the weekend that Ally and I head down in NOvember. It's such a pretty resort. I stayed there for a business conference several years ago, but I didn't really get to enjoy it that time. I'm sure Ally will love it!

So ideally, she should be done by - what 10 am? That is really good. That way you will have more time with her before you go home to sleep Tues!

EBAY UPDATE* Remember my oopsie - where I won two of the same thing. I put one up for auction - and it just closed. I sold it for $5 less than I paid for the two combined!!! So now I have a $100 cartridge that I was only out $5 (shipping and all) for!

OK, so Hurricane Dolly is HUGE and heading for Texas, right? Pam, hope you're not anywhere near!!!!

But it is currently filling the entire Gulf of Mexico! Just hope it's all gone before the weekend. That would be our luck - spend a weekend at the beach inside while a hurricane swirls outside.

And, yes, it's a 2 hour procedure; so hopefully she'll be up in ICU around 10. But I always expect delays, so who really knows? And I'm not coming home on Tues; will be sleeping there and probably not home until Wed. nite. So don't anyone panic if you don't hear from me until then!

Nope from me - uh - for the first time I watched Minority Report yesterday in pieces thanks to the DVR! We tape House, Gray's (but I don't get time), Chelsey Lately (I LOVE her) but I barely watch that either. Let's see... I will do Survivor when it comes back - I love that show but haven't watched it in years, anyway Big Brother - I just never got into it. I think the one season I watched it was like a drunk frat party each episode so I gave up!

Yeah I'm glad the surprise package arrived. We too will have her in our prayers. I hate having to get the kids up that early but it will be good so she can eat sooner.

Jillian--totally feel for you with mr. carlos. I am hoping your book will wow him of if all else fails we all could call him and talk him in to going.

BTW I did the same thing with some scrapbook pages a while back. I wanted to get girl CM pages. When I left I bought both boy and girl pages. I used the girl for beth so I need ed to trade the boys for Katherine. Dummy bid on 2 different sets. I came out ahead though. Now I just stay away from there until I have time to focus on what I am bidding on.

I think Debbie said they will have another long weekend at the lake.

Off to make dinner. It is hot here again. I am attempting pizza on the grill. I have my stone on the grates and will put the pizza on that. I have done margerita pizza on the grates and it works but never tried regular crust so I'll let you know what happens. I love grill cooking when it is hot. It's my version of the outdoor kitchen

We always grill out in the summer! I hate heating up the kitchen. It is so unbearably hot here today, but the PM storms are rolling in now to cool it down a bit.

OK, new recipe for today! Peanut Chicken

Chicken breasts
1/3 cup peanut butter
2 T soy sauce
2 T orange juice
1/4 t pepper
1-2 T honey (optional, but I added!)

Mix all ingredients and pour over chicken in crock pot. Cook on low 6-8 hrs. It smells soooo good right now.

I'm all about easy, and using ingredients I have on hand. This was a cinch. Never tried it before so we'll see...... I think I'm gonna serve over rice.

Ally is going to the beach on Thursday with the summer campers. I'm a nervous wreck though - she tends to go out way further than she should, but they reassured me that they will spend most of the time on the beach, building sand castles, and then go in the water as a group just to cool off. No body surfing though. Really, these guys and gals that run the camp are so good. The kids love them and they are very responsible. And they're so sweet with Ally when they see her on the weekends. She rushes up to them and wants them to play with her on the diving board or on the slide. Yesterday we went to the pool and two of the young ladies were there and there's Ally right in between them the whole time. It was kinda cute. I'm sure she was getting the skinny on their boyfriends and all that!

So Jeff picked me up a hurricane tracking map and I'm all over it! First Bertha, then Cristobal, and now Dolly. I've got them all mapped out on there. I know, I'm a weather nerd.

Laura - Wow him - I dunno about that. It is an uphill battle, that is for sure. I just honestly thing the BW area and the BC would "WOW" him much more than the Poly. He kicks and screams about doing things like this - but I tell you what, he'll never admit it, but I've seen that man with tears in his eyes at many things we have done with the kids. All it takes to start it up is seeing the kids really happy. I think after one visit, he'll be hooked. Or so I hope anyway!

I've got a wicked headache today. I"m sleepy too. I have so much to do, but I want no part of any of it. I just want to go to bed.... Only four more hours

Recipe sounds good. I LOVE peanuts - but unfortunately based on a couple "reactions" in Mia that we have no idea how they happened, her Ped said it honestly looked like a peanut allergy. So for us, no Chickfila, No Logans, No Peanuts. We'll try to introduce them at 3, but definately not sooner. The only way should could have gotten it was by drinking off of Nicolas' sippy cup after he had a PB&J. I have a strawberry allergy, so it is highly likely she could have one. SIGH, so no yummy chicken here, Kara.

She'll probably be fine at the beach, but I understand your worries. I'd be the same. Okay, I'd probably be worse

AS far as the hurricane tracking. I found some really cool sites before our last trip. I thought I bookmarked them, but I can't find them. Hummm....

Oh, as a hurricane junkie I've got all the sites bookmarked. I check them at 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm and 8pm when they update. I'm addicted. Especially now that we live in a place where we're required to carry hurricane insurance!

Oh, and I just found out that State Farm is dropping ALL Florida residents from homeowners insurance. The only way we got it when we moved was because we were current State Farm insureds. They weren't writing any new policies for people in Florida. But now they are going to drop EVERYONE once their policies come up for renewal. I'm so upset! We've been with them forever!

Do NOT make the peanut chicken! Very bland - blech! There was no sauce, so it was kinda dry, and then the rice was, well, rice. Very uneventful!

Thanks for all the well wishes again guys! Showed Amanda the balloons and teddy bear when she got home and she smiled! Seriously, the balloons are so eye-catching; it will be nice to have them for her at her bedside when she gets out of surgery.

I have to work on my photopass tonite. It expires in a couple of days and I want to get my order in. I'll try to pop in later but if I don't, I'll be sure to check in the minute I can get to a computer. It may not be until Wed. nite though. If you want to designate someone to call or text my cell, that would be fine also. That person could then post the info here. Just keep in mind, I'm "technically" not supposed to use my cell in the ICU; but I keep it on vibrate and check it every once in awhile anyway. (why not, right? The doctors do!)

No I have to follow my "schedule" for a few months to see if I am even ovulating. Which to the present I am not. I have major Cyst problems and thus may need help. Badookie was not planned but the most terrific surprise.

Sorry gang here I am back again. It was DD6's birthday party and we've been crazy all weekend. Then my laptop has been down for a few days with no internet access. Hopefully my tech guy will be able to fix it this week.


Took the girls to the park down at Newport, RI to fly kites today (my friend who watches the girls was home with her daughter sick - YIKES there's a flu going around) The girls had so much fun flying their kites, seeing the waves and the mansions. They both wanted to go into the mansions, but I knew better.

Well we're watching the HSM picture this so I have to get off and watch.

I'm off to bed too. I'm so frustrated with the freakin' photopass book - it's not working for me and I don't know why I take on these projects when I'm already stressed. I keep trying to click and drag pix and they won't stay put! Aaaargh! They don't expire until the 28th so I have a little more time.

Jillian - I'll be staying the room with Amanda. Children's redid their ICU unit - they now have bed spaces in the corner of the room for the parents w/ a curtain to pull around us. I'm keeping my fingers crossed I also get a bathroom in the room!
