I'm back for a second. This medic was supposed to be here at 8am - I called yesterday to try to reschedule, since I've been sick and Jeff is not getting my cold. But they had already closed, so don't know if they'll be here or not. They were supposed to call to confirm early in the week anyway, and they never did that, so our appointment might have been cancelled anyway.
I'm giving them 15 minutes, and then I'm going to go eat, and get the coffee going. Then if they show up, they'll have to reschedule since we're not allowed to eat or drink for 8 hrs before.
8:07.....
Now my dilemma is what to do with Ally when we go to Disney in September? Jeff's parents could come down, but they'll be a nervous wreck, plus they always bring their stupid little dog and freak out when Bucky plays with her. No offense, but when our friends brought their 15 year old dog for a week, Bucky left her alone. He knew that she was too old to play. As for my inlaws dog? She's only a few months older than Buck, but because she's little, I can see Jeff's dad locking Bucky up in our room so their dog can have the run of the house.
OR, I could fly my mom down to stay with Ally. Problem here is that I won't allow my mom to drive Ally anywhere, so they'd be stuck here for 3 nights while we're gone. I have great neighbors that I know would check on her, run to the store for her, whatever, but I just feel bad leaving her stranded. I guess I could leave my cell phone with her, and she'll have the golf cart to at least go get ice cream or soemthing.....
I've also asked both my parents if they want to come down. Since it's a 13 hr drive, they can really only make the trip once a year. Maybe if I pay for gas and the hotel on the way down, they could do it......
8:11. Looks like I"m eating breakfast in 4 minutes.....
Today we are going to a nursery to get plants for the backyard, then on to JCPenney to get drapes - I will use the solid color drapes I get at Penney's for the top 1/4 of the drapes, then I'll attach the patterned fabric to the bottom 3/4. I'm really psyched to do this!!!
Ally is all dressed up in a skirt today - why? Cause she's a girl and she likes to "twirl." But if I try to get her in a dress or skirt for school? No way, that's uncool. She has turned into a jeans and t-shirt girl for school.
Yesterday she had just come back from the pool and she was singing that Miley Cyrus song, her hair was all ratty and in her face, and I said to Jeff, "look at her now and imagine her with thick black eyeliner, and bright red lipstick - that's our life in about 8 years." He about freaked!
