I'm trying to decide to keep the cream in there, with the choc curtains, and current wall paint (pale yellow - I guess it is more ivory)... well... here.

This was her nursery early on. Still looks like this now, pretty much...

IMG_3554.jpg

Here is the painting I made for her room. I am ready to get rid of this. Originally I wanted lambs, but she isn't the least bit interested in anything white or cream!
IMG_3689.jpg

I couldn't find a picture of the curtains, but they are the same color as the tree trunk - just 84 inch panels. She has a large double window in there, so it is pretty much a wall of windows. Why can't I find a picture of that.

So, I have a cream sheet with pink and chocolate dots. Thought I could use one of her solid blankets with it and put a chocolate crib skirt around it to tie it all together. I just picked up a chocolate changing pad cover too.

Other option would be to use a pink/white sheet set, the pink blanket, then a white tulle crib skirt and I could get some tulle from the store and make a topper for the chocolate drapes to soften things up.

SEE! Look how cheery and girly Amanda's room looks! It has personality. Mine is just ... BLAH! Why can't I come up with that stuff on my own!

I see I'm the decoratively challenged person on the board.

The only rooms I can really take credit for are Amanda and Lauren's rooms; I picked it all out by myself!:goodvibes

I do like Amanda's room alot; what you don't see in the picture is the big bay window that faces her bed - so the room is very bright and cheery.

Lauren's room is lilac w/ small hearts and flowers. I few years ago, there was a Princess comforter that matched perfectly; now that she's older, I've gotten a purple flower comforter from Target. It's still age-appropriate but I'm thinking by 8th grade or high school, she's going to want something a little funkier.

I could send a pic of my desk...Uggh.

Happy Friday!! I love the room pics!, Cammie and Kara - your houses are beautiful! Where's the folded laundry sitting on the couch or coffee tables??:rotfl:

I have kept almost all of my girls' comforters, and we use them on the floor to make a pallette when we have sleepovers. They want to get rid of the Barney comforter, but NO WAY! We have Barbie, Princess, Pochohantis, Barney, and a couple of floral. I love the pink w/brown combo.

I'm glad that Amanda and Ally are both feeling better.

Kara - enjoy your visit w/the ILs! Enjoy your quiet week next week! I know you'll miss Ally, but just think of what you can get done, and what relaxing you can do!

I have the contact list that Debbie sent in email, and added a few things that I had to it. I'll send it right now.

You are so MARTHA!btw - notice I'm using green. Green with ENVY!

Me too! I love your decorating and your home but I am even more jealous that it's clean!

Kara & Cammie...Love all the pix! Now when I visit everything will be so familiar!!!

Renee...look at that cute little baby!

I gotta run!
We are hitting the road in an hour (if I am lucky)
I will be back Sunday night to Wednesday morning then back again.

Crazy days!!
I will miss you guys like always.

I see I'm the decoratively challenged person on the board.

Renee - I bet you I have you beat on that one. My family wouldn't know what to do if there wasn't a pile of laundry on the couch, waiting to be folded, or already folded laundry on the coffee table, waiting to be put up. If we know we are having company, we scramble to pick up, at least just the living room, right inside the front door. What a cute picture of Mia! I miss those baby days. I need a baby fix and need to see my niece this weekend!

I can just picture all of us Control Freaks sitting around this island, sipping cocktails!:cloud9:

Oh, we need to!! I am going to print a US map and plot out where everyone of us is located. I will scan it and send it to you all when I get it done (sometime next year :rolleyes1 ). I sound like the one who is hiding in the bushes or whatever you say, but seriously, I am a notes person, and can only keep up if I take notes!:confused3

Then, we need to pick a fun, kind of central place, and plan a meet, far out, so everyone can plan and save! Let's do it!!:yay:

I was talking to Renee about this the other day. We really, really, really think we should all do a long weekend at Disney together. Afterall, it's the place that brought us all together!

I think it would be fun to get together. Cammie and I were just talking about how cool it would be to do it at Disney since that is what brought us all together. We could have a little CFWW convention! :rotfl2: :lmao: I can book us the Princess Breakfast in Germany, or maybe the French Dinner in Canada. :rotfl2: :lmao: :thumbsup2

PAM - I'm with you. If someone shows up at my door (like this morning) my heart sinks. My house is trashed. Laundry, dished. Remember Kara & Cammie's pics - yeah, the opposite. Seriously! NOT GOOD!

I'm having date hour tonight. My DM is keeping the kids for an hour for us to go out. SET THOSE WATCHES LADIES. :rotfl2: I'm still greatful. It has been a month, so I welcome any break.

Tomorrow we are going to see MIL. She is cooking. Not good. She is making Pernil (basically fatty pork should roasted in the oven after being slathered with salt, garlic, parsley, black pepper and oregano) and Mofungo (fried plantain bananas with garlic and Thai Sauce). Now, the food is okay, except I prefer lean cuts and not that much meat. No comment on the Mofungo. But my MIL has sanitary issues that give me big ISSUES. She was like this before the stroke. Seems they run out of fridge room - ah, just stick the Milk in the garage (with it 70 degrees out) or my favorite, set the eggs out for days, or even better let's all eat what she cooked for dinner last night for lunch - it has been sitting in the pot on the stove all night. :scared1:

She wonders why I bring my own food and food for the kids. I tell her it is organic and let it go. The kicker is - they all are curious why they all have stomach issues so much. :confused3

I'm in!! We have always gone in Nov, except for once in Oct. Everything that I have ever read about planning is foggy. What month would be the least crowded? Would we be able to go during the school year if we planned far out enough? Thurs PM-Sun, or Fri PM-Mon? Lots of talking and posting to get this going, but I would love to! We could all have a sleepover party in one of the rooms. At POP?!! :lmao: Someone else would have to make a suggestion as to where we'd stay. Oh, no. This could be dangerous!

LOVE IT!!!

Renee - Enjoy your date hour! That makes me sad. I forgot - there's no neighborhood teens that would babysit?

Oh, my!:sad2: I would do the same thing!!

Nope! Not there! At the BIG bar outside!!!! There's a fridge, a bar cooler, a grill! And a bathroom!!! That's all we need!

Renee, I'm not a big worrier about this kind of stuff most of the time, but that is just scary! Makes me nauseous jut thinking about it!

Cammie - Amanda's room looks awesome!!! I love the wallpaper - I wish I weren't so afraid of wallpaper. I'd love to try it. But I get bored so quickly that a $20 gal of paint is a lot cheaper to change! :rotfl: Your house reminds me a lot of my parents house in Ohio. Love it!

The key to us all meeting up, IMHO, is to find someplace fairly central so it would be just as easy for everyone to meet up. Although Disney sounds the most fun!!! We should look at a weekend in January or some other "off" time.

Well, the inlaws are here and they're already freaking out about their stupid dog, cause she's afraid of Bucky. He's really leaving her alone, but as soon as they put her down, he comes over to sniff her and they flip out. Seriously, leave your d*** dog at home if you're so afraid!!! This has become a big issue for me. I won't even take Bucky to their house anymore. I'll board him each time. It's just not worth the aggravation. Hopefully the first time we do this they'll get the hint, and leave her home next time they come here.

Renee, I still think go with the pink/brown. You could either paint her walls a real pale pink, or just leave them as is for now.

Pam, I'm totally cool with POP - we've stayed there twice and Jeff and I love it! We say all the time that for any week long stays, that's where we'll be! But for these little weekend jaunts, we like to try the other resorts. And since we honeymooned at BWI, we like to stay at the Epcot resorts.

I was just teasing!! ;)

I know, I just didn't want you to think you were the only one who loves the Values!!! We do too! As long as I'm on Disney property, I'm all set! :cloud9:

My feeling is ----- the place that is MOST central may not be the MOST fun!;)

Seriously, we all have our love of Disney in common; I know it may be more expensive for some of us (me included - I'm looking at $700 airfare for Feb.), but if we picked a low travel time, we could hopefully get the cheapest flights possible for everyone. Don't think we'd every find one central place that would work for all. Just my $.02.

Laura - Thanks for much for the card; and please pass on a special thanks to Beth from myself and Amanda - we LOVED the pictures she made us!:lovestruc
