We are staying at POR October 21st and I want to arrive on the 20th now...they say they are sold out, is anyone planning to cancel so I can have the extra night?

just keep calling Disney reservations. Something may open up. If not, have you explored the option of staying at another resort for that night? I know many people stay at a Value the first night because it isn't a full day. Maybe this could be a second option if POR doesn't open up

I just checked the website. They seem to have availability at POR for October 20. King Size room @ 183 per night. I went through the reservation system until they wanted a credit crd and didn't seem to indicate no vacancy. I'm kind of surprised they would be full this time of year.

Have you thought about POFQ? I was able to pull up a one night reservation on the disneyworld web site for your date, so it appears available.

I'm thinking that maybe what you saw was not the POR, but instead you pulled up a "best match" at another moderate. At least, that's what happened to me when it tried for POR. I did find POFQ, though.

Thanks to everyone for the helpful suggestions, after many many calls I finally scored and got the extra night! Had to pay $60 more than the original reservation tho, all the passholders rates were sold out but at least I get to go early! Next time I will book for the extra day up front and convince DH to go early again! BEACH CLUB in December here I come!!
