The scenario....dd at Neverland Club. Myself and dh, looking for someplace nice to eat. We've done CG. A little too trendy for me. I'm much more meat and potatoes. So, any advice as to a nice place that isn't too trendy? How is Ohana or Spoodles? TIA.

I'd recommend Narcoossee's or Artist Point. Both are FABULOUS!!! I don't think they're trendy at all, just GREAT food!!! I also didn't like Spoodles or Ohana. Spoodles was just a very blaah tasting place. I never can find anything on their menu I like, and Ohana is well just to much meat!!! Now, I LOVE meat and am also am eat and potatoes kindof gal, but this place was just too much for me.

Since we'll be at WL, Artist's Point makes sense. And since dd will be at Poly, going over to GF makes sense too. THanks for sharing.

Try Narcossee at GF. I didn't like Artist Point(and we're an adventurous group).

We just got back and had a night out at at Artists Point. We really liked it. Not a huge menu, but the entress we tried were excellent.

I didn't get a chance to try any other nice places, but isn't there a steakhouse at Yacht Club? It would be fun to eat first then walk to Epcot for Illuminations. It is a nice stroll and could be a romantic time...
(you can always hop the boat back to YC after the show).

In the Poly-GF-Contemporary area there is also the Concourse Steakhouse. Very meat and potatoes kind of place.

I would suggest Citrico's at GF. It might be a little trendy also, but I think meals were better than CG. Yachtsman Steakhouse at Yacht Club is also a good choice.

I agree that Artist Point is your best choice. It's a great setting, with entrees that will be fairly familiar, but very well-prepared.

I haven't been to Le Cellier, but alot of people swear by it and it looks like the kind of place you're interested in.

My DH and I didn't like Artist Point at all. Our food was so so, as compared to the cost, which was quite expensive. We did have a very nice meal at Coral Reef. It was a romantic setting, and our food was excellent.

That said, we love Le Cellier... they usually seat us in an area with older families or other kid-free folks, although we have been there five years in a row, and are used to children at meal times. Always consistent, good food.

You could try Boma's or Jiko's at AKL.. we stayed there in November and loved it! Great drinks in the bar area... looks very different from any other restaurant!

I would also recommend Citricos. There is plenty of straight forward food on the menu. Its a great place to relax and have a wonderful meal. Great wine selection too. You can aslo check out the menus from the link at the top of this page - very helpful:)

Narcoossee's of the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Both are nice. Both are not trendy, just sort of regular places and both are expensive.
