Looking for a WH or EI townhome that meets these items:

I have lurked here forever, and now we really are looking for a 3BR townhome in WH or EI for Feb. '08 that has:

1. South facing pool
2. Near the main pool/clubhouse
3. A crib/pak n play
4. Possibly near another townhome we can rent
5. Hopefully a cute "girl" room for dd6

We are trying to plan for some family members to meet us possibly so may need 2 townhomes.

Well first of all, EI townhomes don't have pools. WHR's do.

I think most of the WHR townhomes are "near" the clubhouse...the most is a 1.5 block walk.

Honestly, we were there today for an hour (we're in our Windsor Hills townhome as I write this to you! )...and spend about 5 hours in our own pool...it's just SO convenient, you won't be at the clubhouse as much as you might think!

Thank you, that is good to know about EI. I think we want a resort pool option, but like the idea of having our own pool too. Maybe if more family comes we will consider a bigger house too.

Windsor Palms has some townhomes with splash pools too.

If there are going to be a number of you, you may want to consider a 3 or 4 bed home - you can find one with a pool and probably a spa too.

In reality if you have a home with all your needs met you will probably use the clubhouse pool very little, if at all. (Why drag all your pool toys and towls to the community pool, when you can have them poolside at your own home!)

That's VERY true, it's funny, we have a gorgeous clubhouse pool in our resort and we mostly use our townhome pool! We did take the kids over there more in the evenings just for the novelty and social aspect of it, and the game room, the sundry shop, etc, but it's SO convenient to sit by your own pool! A full fridge nearby, towels, chairs, etc.

We also had 2 2 year olds with us on this trip, so we could sit by the pool swimming and relaxing during nap time with the baby monitor, verrry convenient!
