Looking for a SuperZoom Digi Cam

My Kodak LS743 is being refunded as fulfillment of my extended warranty at Staples - they're sending me a $350 gift card to use in the store. We bought a Kodak V550, and I want to replace the LS with one of these -

Canon S2

Kodak Pro 850

Kodak Z650

Kodak Z612 (Staples isn't carrying this yet, but should be soon)

Sony Cybershot H2

Panasonic Lumix DMX-F25K

Things I like -

*point and shoot, with options
*good indoor shots (in the gym, etc... that was one of the things with the LS743, the indoor pics were dark and blurry!)
*image stabilization
*most of these use AA batteries - we've used the Li-Ion ones - their life is incredible!

Comments about any of these cameras? I've read reviews on cnet and dpreview - would like "real life" input!

Great indoor shots: Canon S2 IS.

For indoor sports? None of them due to relatively slow Auto Focus, shutter lag, and the lack of ISO 1600 or ISO 3200.

I love my S2 for the zoom (among other things) - just and example of an outdoor photo - this was taken from between the train station and flagpole on Main Street.

I have owned 6 dig cams and 3 slr's in 4 yrs. The Cannon S2 is probably my favorite all around camera. Now that Cannon has released the S3 and they have reduced the price on the S2 you really can't lose.

Best Buy currently has the S2 for 378.00. Plus if you purchase it with a Best Buy Card you can get the 18 months NO interest/same as cash type thing.

Is that the regular optical zoom or with the digital zoom turned on?

Wow - the S2 is popular here!

I will be buying it at Staples- with the cash card they send me for the Kodak... Staples periodically runs a 12% off anything in the store sale - also will price match other retailers. I'm sure I will be able to get it for the same as or less than Best Buy.

We have a tourism business - I worked today and was checking out the bigger cameras - many of them seemed to be the Canon - at least by sight.
