About 6 weeks ago we got Verizon phones at Best Buy and got the LG Voyager Titanium model on clearance for $50. It's a great phone with all of the features you mention. The last time I plugged it in was four days ago and I'm still at 2 bars on the battery. Feature-wise, it's comparable to the phones they sell for $200 (except the camera is only 2.0 MP... but I don't care.)
Stay away from the LG EnV!!! I repeat, stay away from the EnV!!! The touch screen has a mind of it's own and you will find yourself calling it very, very bad names. It also wouldn't show call waiting caller id.
I can't recommend another touch screen because I went back to a regular phone, I can recommend what NOT to get.
called verizon the other day to see what we can do about getting better service where we live and they told us we live in a dead zone-(those quirky guys dont come near our house) but they told us the best phone to get for service here would be the lg env 3 ..they have a 30 day trial period to try it so we'll give it a shot. i love everything about where we live except for the cell service and no high speed internet because theres no cable here. 2 miles up the road there is but not in our dead zone.
I can't speak for the EnV 3, but just for the regular EnV. It was bad enough that I just bought a plain ol' flip phone to use until I'm up for a phone upgrade again. I know of one other person who returned hers in the 30 day window and had her old phone reactivated.
If you do end up getting it, make sure to play with it in the store - that's the best advice I can give you.
I am still using a Palm Treo. I have great service in my area. but the phone processor is pretty slow.
the battery gets used up in a day or two if I make a lot of calls. But I can listen to about 8 hours of music in one charge, with a few calls mixed in there.
I have the original enV and I love it. It's the first cell phone I've had that I didn't want to replace when my contract was up. I have been really happy with it over the last two years or so. I am considering getting the enV Touch next; I've heard good things about it from friends who love theirs.
