I'm looking for a fun breakfast option for the day we go to Hollywood Studios. It doesn't have to be in a park... we're open to resort dining - or even off property (gasp). Any ideas?

A fun breakfast option? Are you going to the studios on a weekend..(Sat/Sun). If so, the breakfast buffet at the swan is fantastic and they have disney characters to make it even better. After that, you can just take the boat to the studios. Would make for a very nice day.

No reservations needed. Not on any dining plan.

I think we would actually prefer no characters. (Don't flame me!) The Swan idea is a great one as we've never been, but we won't be there over a weekend. This will be a Tues or Wed if that matters.

Same wonderful buffet, no characters mid week. Hubby and I love it.
The food is fresh and delicious, made to order eggs. Plenty of great selections.

Enjoy!

Cape May at the BC is fun and has characters too, buffet breakfast

If you want no characters then I think Kona Cafe or the GF Cafe is really good. :thumbsup2

Agreed!

Also Spoodles has a nice breakfast at the BW which is nice because it is near HS.

If you want something "fun" I think Whispering canyon at the WL has breakfast but I couldn't tell you too much about it. I know they do crazy thi ngs over there lol!

OOPS! I forgot about Spoodles it was good there to. :thumbsup2

IMHO I would say Spoodles is a nice option, it's close to HS and it's a very nice restaurant. Their all you care eat breakfast platter is good and filled us up for the day!

If you did decide to go with characters then i'd give another vote for Cape May at the BC. They even give you crayons to draw on the table covers! I had a full set of autographs on there by the end of our meal and even a drawing by Goofy!!

Boatwrights at POR
Spoodles at BW or
Kona at the POLY

All three offer great breakfasts w/o characters.

I hope you have a great trip!

What about Grand Floridian Cafe. We love it there. The waiters/waitresses are so nice. Our last waiter did Disney Trivia during our meal if we got it wrong no straws or refills. Thankfully my Aunt is a pro at the trivia.:) Even without a fun waiter the place is so nice and the food is really good. I can't wait to go back.

We always had cold food at Spoodles, we stay at the BW every vacation and eaten at Spoddles a few times and it never changed always cold. The waitress even said she dosen't know why they cook so much food at once when they are never really that crowded, it always makes the food cold just sitting there.
