No luck on any of those referral network inquiries I sent out for you?
Thing is, there's not really much in the area of old school "motels" with kitchens any more...not anything I'd think of staying in with kids at any rate.....that's why I thought you'd be better off in a condo in WHR/WP one of those resorts, besides being nice and new, they're safe, clean, gorgeous (all of the things a motel with kitchen isn't!).
If you're not getting enough responses go put an inquiry out on the Windsor Hills or Windsor Palms websites, you'll get tons! I'm positive you can get a condo for less than $100/night that's WAYY nicer than any motel in the area, with a kitchen, and 10x better amenities in a gorgeous, gated resort community!
What about www.hotelkingdom.com lots of people book cypress pointe through them. I found Fairfield Cypress Palms on there for $87 a night for a two bedroom condo. It's just off 192 on the east end. We needed to add two nights onto our trip and i couldn't afford $200 a night to add on to our Cypress Harbour stay!
Oh, I thought of a hotel with a kitchenette that gets good reviews. ComfortSuites Maingate East www.comfortsuitesfl.com
Can't say I know of any old style motels. As 5mins2disney says you are very likely to get a lovely condo or townhome on a secured, gated community with excellent facilities for a similar price. There are lots of new areas off the 192 in Kissimmee which will be worth a try.
Have you looked into renting a Condo? Depending on when you're going, I'm sure you can find an awesome deal on one at VRBO.COM, or windsorhillsrent.com. Goodluck!
POP doesn't have a kitchen. She also may not be going during value season?
That may work for alot of people but, for us with six people we would have to have two rooms onsite so, close to $200 a night for us to be onsite with half the space and no kitchen.
We stayed at LakeSuites last summer. It wasn't 5 mins from Disney but not long maybe 15-20 mins. Full kitchen, free breakfast and we only paid around $70 Canadian. Not sure what that is US but probably less than $60.
Last year, we stayed at the Palms Suites Lakeside. It was about 7 miles from Disney, had a full kitchen (fridge, stove, dishwasher), a free breakfast bar (cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, danish, and all the reg. drinks). It was a really roomy place -- 2 beds, plus a couch that folded out. We booked through hotelplusportal.com We only paid 39 a night, but when I checked into this year, it was around 70 a night, but that's still a good price. Good luck!!
You may want to check out the link above. If you scroll down, there are some hotels with full kitchens and also some condos listed -- the condos will also have full kitchens, with separate bedrooms.
