Good Sunday Morning

Snow, how was the first dorm night? Oh, and have you met anyone in the bathroom yet?

The first night was OK. I had a tough time falling asleep and I woke up a lot during the night. This morning there was a truck outside my window. I'm sure I'll get used to it.

So far I've been by myself

Always tough to fall asleep the first night (even at a hotel). Sounds like you have a good attitute, though!
Where is roommate?

I think they try to make it hard for freshmen to have a car, intentionally. Twas the same way at IUP, freshmen had to park way way far away or off campus and move the vehicle a lot, not worth it

Hi was40!

I know once classes start and I'm a little more busy it will get better. Mom is picking me up Friday afternoon and I'm going home for the weekend so I have that to look forward to.

My roommate is still asleep...she went out last night.

How long did you have to wait at toy story?
At rope drop, no line (maybe five minutes to walk through)
when we used out fastpasses, 100 minutes the first time
2oo minutes the second time!

Meet the dorm mates and other freshmen stuff?

Those are nice, since everyone is a bit nervous
and eager to meet new friends!

I like to be busy, myself! Do you have your books?
Have you scoped out a quiet favorite place in the library?
How far from your dorm to the library?

I loved the library to study (sometimes the dormmates are not as serious about their education as they should be....)

The friends I made on the first weekend were friends the whole college duration. But I made more in my major once classes started.

We have a meeting at 2:30 so I'm sure we will do some activites then.

A few friends and I are going to walk to all our classes today so we know where they are for tomorrow I think I'll organize my books by class today too!

I know my roommate and I are going to get our fish today and we may check out a few stores in town.

I got a horrible blister on my thumb
chopping the dying daylillies and iris plants

ripped the skin off completely
the size of a dime

yes, it is darn sore today!

Blue Light was very profitable for the was40s at K Mart yesterday!

We ended up with an entire party sized patio selection
sixteen chairs and three tables total!

I took a few pic of them
and of DH who burned the boxes in the woods
against my better judgement
but he didn't need the fire department (thank goodness!)

Dh and I had a wine tasting event last night with a neighbor couple
we sampled red, white, mead (thats a new one for me, made with honey, no grapes, think Shakespeare)
no posting after that
in fact, it may have been today before we walked home.....

the second KMart we went to at the actual blue light time for patio furniture
happily price adjusted the chairs I had already bought
and I need to look at the receipt better
as she gave me way more than I had anticipated back

first she said "no price adjustment"
and I said, I would be happy to return all those chairs and buy them again
and the manager happened to be eating his lunch at the K Cafe
and she called to him, "can she have a price adjustment for the blue light"
and with his mouth full, he nodded yes

DH says I caught him at a good time, eating lunch
not wanting to deal with a cranky customer
just wanting to enjoy his pizza!pizza! in peace

but I am cold
and he did agree to swtich the AC to "off" for the day
