What's the longest stay anyone has taken at DVc Property.
Mine has regularly been 21 Days because we have to fly from Ireland in the summer.
I noticed 34 days on another

We returned last night from our longest stay to date. 14 days/13 nights.

Has been our longest stay, going for another 7 day stay in December.:earsboy: :sunny:  :earsgirl:

Before we were DVC members we spent 2 glorious weeks at OKW, that was back in the days when they gave you a discount to come look at DVC. I don't think they do that anymore.

My longest stay so far will be my December trip coming up. 9 nights. :D

2 or 3 weeks sound heavenly! Maybe someday...

We are able to snowbird for either 26 or 33 days in a one bedroom each winter at OKW.

A fair number of Yankees (Northerners) are saving points to do just this as they get up to our ages.

OKW is perfect for this with the parking at the door. the home sized rooms, and the quiet setting.

Did I write this???? This is so weird!
My DH was just asking me this morning how many points we would have with this add on and how long it would give us at WDW. I told him we would be able to stay for one month in a one bedroom unit at OKW. We usually stay at BW or BCV, but we agreed that OKW was perfect for "retired folk" with the peaceful setting and roomier unit! AND, I'm a middle school teacher from the North (Boston area, but a Red Sock, NOT a Yankee, lol!) Retirement is a few years away for me, tho, since I stayed home for 10 years to have my kids  ! TV, you are living my life!!! Enjoy it til I get there!

If my quick math is correct.....For an OKW 1 bdrm that is 688, 712 or 736 points for 31 days in January depending on how the Friday/Saturdays fall. There are 3 combinations of 688 point January's, 2 combinations of 712 point January's and 2 combinations of 736 point January's. An average of 709 points should do it with banking and borrowing.

Hmmmmm, I'm just shy of 200 points short. I see another resale in the future.

I just had to bring this back! The winter has been that hard!

I am two years away from retiring from teaching HS. Can't wait to be able to go to WDW when I want and as long as I want. My DH can't retire from teaching for 5 years. Poor baby. Way to go TV

13 days 12 nights

Now that we're DVC members I expect to break that record!

We stayed our longest, 19 days, this past November. We weren't doing DVC the whole time, however...we did DVC on the weekdays, then did Polynesian and Riverside on the weekends.

It was such a wonderfully long trip and yet...it still ended?!? Shouldn't DVC put a stop to such a thing?;)

We went In September 2003 before we were DVC members and stayed for 21 nights (7 at CBR, 7 at POR, 7 at WL). I have to admit when people asked how long we were staying at WDW we got some strange looks! Now we are DVC members we will still probably stay for a minimum of 21 nights (hopefully more - maybe some HH or VB as well). This makes sense for us coz it takes us 29 hours to fly to Orlando!

We stayed 15 nights in January and then 13 nights in November of 2003. Now we are making our plans for January/February 2005 and it will be 26 nights. We too are from snow country and because we drive to Florida we tend to stay as long as we can.

You must have been our neighbors this past January. We saw your parking pass and we were envious! But in a good way!

We parked next to someone who had a check-out date of more than a month away. And we met several people at the kennels who do this also, meaning stay for a month or more.

And after talking about it, we decided that this is a great way for snowbirds to spend their winters. Probably works out to be less or the same as renting any other place. And you buy your points at one time and then only have to pay your annual dues. Very smart way to snowbird! And then you get company, grandkids, and friends.

Sounds like a great deal to me!

P.S. We just stayed for 2 weeks in a studio. It was great! We went to Publix and were able to eat most of our meals in the room with just the fridge and microwave. It was supposed to be a job hunting trip and it worked out beautifully!!!

In case anyone was interested the Maximum number of points to use for a long stay is 4 years' worth not the 3 that most people think of...but you have to stay at the end and beginning of your use year-

So if you have a February Use Year you use 1 to 3 years worth of points for the dates before Feb 1 and the rest of the points to total 4 years for the part of the stay after Feb 1!

For some people that could be several months worth of staying!
