Is there such a thing? I thought there used to be 7 and 10 ten parkhoppers?

We will be arriving in LA on a Saturday, departing the following Saturday. That means we either:

start our passes on our arrival Saturday, then don't go Friday, but I would hate to spend the last day not in DL, OR

start our passes on Sunday....but HOW do you NOT go to the park on your arrival day?? :confused3

It's driving me crazy over here.

And this WoC open/not open uncertainty is making me crazy too. I forgot about that when I planned my trip, and can't determine if the parks will be super busy or not. I would LOVE to see the show, but don't want the crowds.

TIA

Try Expedia

Australian's can purchase up to 14 day park hoppers through Expedia but we can't buy them when at Disneyland, only before we go, so there may be longer ones there.

When we bought ours, we printed off a voucher and we gave it in a check in at our hotel and they exchanged it for a 14 day park ticket.

6 days is a LOT of days to spend inside the parks (even for a die-hard like me). if you really MUST stay more days than that, i'd just consider upgrading to an AP and then planning to get one more trip out of it later in the year.

as far as not going on the day you get into town, we've done that before and it was no problem. just head out for a movie or dinner (or both!) to pass the time. if you feel you really MUST go do something better than that on your arrival day, take a quick drive down to long beach or something and check out the queen mary or the aquarium of the pacific.

if you just have a relaxing evening, and get a great night's sleep, you'll be ready to get up really early and be in line way before the gates open, ensuring that you'll be able to hit a bunch of rides before any crowds begin to accumulate.

or, just hang out in DTD your first evening...you could get a bunch of your shopping done so that it doesn't cut into your ride/show/attraction time! you can do a bunch of stuff down there....see a movie, have a meal, build a bear, shop till you drop, or go climb the rock wall at ESPN zone. i'm sure you could find plenty to do to fill the time.

You don't have to do consecutive days. So you can begin and end your vacation in the parks, and have some "off" time in between.

We are in the same situation (and were last year too). we will go to the parks arrival day, day 2, day 3 day 4, TAKE A BREAK day 5 (swim, wonder DTD, sleep in, etc) go to park day 6 and day 7 head home day 8.
I (ok the kids)also can not immagine not going to the parks arrival day or the last day.

Instead of doing 6 consecutive days you could always have a break day in the middle of your day where you can just relax and re-charge, so to speak. Or spend it doing something else in the area?

When I was talking to someone at Disneyland reservations she said they dont sell anything longer than 6 day park hoppers because its just better after 7 days to get the AP and definately more cost effective, especially with the discounts. Dont know if she is 100% right but kinda makes sense?!?!?

that might be true if one were buying "regularly priced" tix, but right now there's the promo going on so people are getting 6 day PH's for $173. if the OP is going before the end of april, it's more cost effective to just buy the promo tix....unless i'm overlooking something? :confused3

When we got the 7 day tickets it wasn't too much more for a deluxe AP for the adults, but it was quite a jump in price from the child ticket.

As AussieTravellers mentioned, as Australian's (same for Kiwis) we purchase a 14-day pass before we leave home. I remember a couple of months ago there was a thread discussing ours and Canadian's getting longer than 6-days from their local Flight Centre and Expedia (Canada.) Might be worth a shot. I think the Canadian was 7 or 8 days.

It was cheaper in both cases than an annual pass, no block out etc.

I agree that 7 or 10 days would be a long time in the parks. We did 6 days last Nov, and both DH and I thought that was way to long. Are doing 4 on this next trip. We were surprised that we started to get bored. We rode everything several times. And we are Disney fanatics!

What promo is this?

My DSis and I are heading to DLR for the first time at the end of April and the only promo we're aware of is the current buy 3-get 2 free. Is there more specific information on the 6-day PH promo?

We are.here now and are staying fro sat to sat. DS needed a hopper and we were only able to get him a six day hopper. We spent today at knotts so it worked out well for us and we are going to hang in DTD.
