Hi all.
Not sure if you remember me. its been a while...sorry!!

Anyway.. after a very bad few weeks and lots of bad news. my dad has given me the best present in the world... you guessed it a trip to dlrp

story is mum and dad were taking my dd and my nephew to dlrp 2nd July for 3 nights. but after my news my dad thought i deserved a treat and something to look forward to. so he took his name off the booking and added me on as a surprise. the only thing we are worried about is that Disney said everything will still be in my dads name i am particularly worried about the eurostar. They told us eurostar will have a
Note on their booking system. has anybody experienced travelling on eurostar on a ticket that is in somebody else's name?

Thanks

Yayyy! :cheer2: What a lovely Dad you have!

Have you already got your Eurostar tickets? If so, I would insist on getting one reprinted in your name, as coming back from Disney they were checking the ticket names against the passports.

When we went on our trip in March, our whole booking was in my Dad's name and as he sadly couldn't go last minute I was worried about how we'd be able to check in and pick up our park tickets on the Eurostar without him, but noone questioned it at all.

Congrats on the trip, hope it helps cheer you up a bit after a lousy sounding-year. My parents took my aunt to WDW with them last year, after suffering a long and messy divorce - she absolutely adored it and it seemed to do wonders for her after too. Sometimes we need a dusting of pixie dust to get though those harder times :goodvibes:

Thanks guys!!
We have not had our tickets yet but Disney said they have already been issued by eurostar.
They have assured us there will be no problems and when we hand over our tickets they can bring it up on their system and see there is a name Change.
I got the ta to write me a letter confirming this on headed paper. hopefully everything will be ok. im more worried on the French side coming home.

I'm sure it will be fine as you will have a confirmation letter. Might be worth giving Eurostar a ring or drop them an email to see if there is any chance of getting the ticket reissued?

No advice on the Eurostar but wanted to say welcome back. I hope the holiday helps you feel better.

Welcome back, Karen :wave2: sorry you've had a rough time  but what a lovely Dad you've got. ::yes::

I think I'd either ring them or email them. I'm pretty certain you can't change the name on a ticket if you've booked direct with Eurostar (think you have to cancel and rebook in the new name) but hopefully things are different if it's booked as part of the package with Disney. I'd be checking with them for peace of mind.
