Long-term ticket question

Did some number crunching. Likely over the next five years we'd do something like this...

5 day $268 or $325 with PH
3 day $242 or $299 with PH
2 day $176 or $233 with PH
Total $686 or $857 with PH

10 day non-expiring $593 or $650 with PH
10 day non-expiring with PH and WPFM $672

So basically with the 10 day non-expiring we'd save $185pp for a total of $740 and we'd get the WPFM free (because otherwise we probably wouldn't buy it). This isn't factoring in the cost of ticket price increases, which would certainly be a good chunk of money over the next 5+ years. Seems like a good deal.

So when you buy a non-expiring ticket, do you have to use it first within a certain time frame (ie could we buy it now but not start using it until 2014)?

There is no time limit on first use of the 10 day non-expiration ticket. Lots of people buy them before the yearly price increase and hold them until their trips. We have 8 of them in our safe that I bought a couple of years ago - since we are AP holders, I have no plans on activating them in the near future.

When is the yearly price increase? I'm planning on returning to the world for my first DVC stay.

I didn't realize that the WP option was extra non-expiring days. That seems like a great deal ($23 for 10 days).

The prices have increased around May or June (or there abouts) the last couple of years. Yes, if you add the water park option to the 10 day non-expiring tickets, you receive 10 water park days that don't expire. It is a great deal if you are taking multiple smaller trips over several years.
