I said it before,,
being a fiend isn't a appointment or a decree by someone,,,,
it's a feeling and a love you have of the Fort.

Yes I am a newbie to posting, not a newbie to the Fort. I'll keep reading but i only post if I have something positive to say.

I guess the title of the board was confusing to me, "Long live the Fiends" gave me the impression that this thread was about supporting the fiends, not pretending as if they never existed! I guess what surprises me is the number of people who felt the need to post on this thread negatively about the people involved. I certainly did not mean to offend you in any way, just showing support for the fiends! I hope you post many positive things on this board!

I too miss seeing some of the fiends here. Some not so much.

The point I guess I was trying to make is, if you keep picking at a scab it will never heal. I would hate to see the whole thing blow up again.

It is pretty much a thread in support of the people who left or were banned. I think you have to let those that feel that loss have their say. As long as it's contained here, it's pretty easy to avoid. I haven't seen it spill over into any of the other threads in the forum. (except the "response by Pete")..which is pretty much the same thing. Kind of beating a dead horse in my opinion. Either way, by responding you are picking at the same scab.

I think this thread has outlived its usefulness...

One final word (yeah, I know it's not fair that I get to do that before locking the thread ):

Everyone is responsible for his or her own actions and words.

No matter how much useful information someone has offered in the past, attacks on other posters or our board moderators and administrators is offensive and not welcome here.

We have a great, very knowledgeable and very friendly group of people still here on the Camping Forums. I'm happy to see that the general atmosphere is much more welcoming lately, and I'm happy to see so many newbies feeling welcomed to join the fun!

My understanding is that "Fort Fiends" is anyone who loves Fort Wilderness. Looks like we have a whole bunch of them here, and I know we'll have more and more as time goes on. Long live the DISboards Fort Fiends!
