Long delays on Virgin LGW-MCO routes again

I will be careful what I post as last time we had a thread like this and I posted, the next day there was a terrioist alert, and one person flamed me even though no one could have known about it in advance.

However I was then at Gatwick with a delay from 11:15am to 19:44pm, I and the kids were bored but the only saviour was we were in the Upper class club lounge. Lots to do and they cared for us very well.

Knock on effects cause most of these delays, the flight is about 9 hours out and 8 back and leaves about 2 hours turnaround in Florida and four hours at Gatwick.Good weather and quick turnaround can help, but often once you are behind everything goes wrong and another delay Stateside compounds it.

Posted earlier in this thread Virgin were a plane down, and waiting for a part, so that might have knocked on to all Florida services. Half term coming up, is full, I looked at availabiity so they want to be on time for that.

All I can say is these dealys will put people off traveling, Kids get grumpy on dealys and as Florida is for young kids ( really) with the security, cost and school holiday issues before bad weather, unless this is corrected people will switch off more and more to travel to the USA.

2007 is my first year in the last eight without a VH stateside! Not saying I will never go again, but the issues mean I am having a rest and trying things new and closer!

At least the Disney Magic is coming to Europe! So one last bit of Disney left!

Everything seems to be back on track at the moment, so let's hope it stays that way for the next week or so. :)
