Logging in issues... Mall fixed it! See Page two for tips! WOOT!

UGh. It takes me at least 10 minutes to log in ALL the time!!! I load to a certain point (about 1/4 of the way, maybe a smidge more) and then it hangs there for 10 minutes. Once it starts up again, it zips right along.

I have tried...

Clearing files

I even loaded ALL the rooms in VMK and tried it again

Once in VMK I zip from room to room... games run fine... everything peachy...

But for the past 2 days... cant get in fast at all

I know Car gal is also having issues... Anyone else??


EDITED TO ADD it seems it was FLASH player... go to page two and follow Mals' directives... reboot after each step!

I've had lots of problems with logging in since the Christmas overlay. It's steadily gotten much worse since the new land. Hopefully all of the bugs will be fixed and things back to normal (normal? Hahaha!) soon.

If it's not loading at all, I would try deleting Shockwave and re-installing it.

I am not sure what causes log in issues. I am only posting this in hopes of helping you narrow in on the issue. I have had no log in troubles at all since the new land.

I am on a wireless, high speed connection with Windows XP on a PC.

me too it closes on me for some junk reason. it says there is error and then Closes...

I'm just having issues getting the log in page to load.

edit: got the log in page up, now loading is not moving.

Me and I am ready to scream!!!!! Like you, once I am in it is not slow, although I do get the white crashed message once or twice a day. But to get in is next to impossible. The log in screen takes for ever to load, if I don't get the "This site is too busy" message. Then, it either takes for ever to actually log in or it leaves me at the BSOD to start the whole process all over again. I wish I knew what the story was.

that's as far as I get... up loading up until that point normal... after sitting there for 10-20 mintues it then zooms along like normal.

I got into all the new lands fine, all the games have been working fine. Until 2 days ago....

10-20 minutes? Oh I long for the days of 10-20 minute load times. Since the updates on Monday, it has taken a minimum of 2 hours for the game to load every time, and that includes when I've already been in the game earlier in the day.

Today I got lucky: a mere 45 or so minute wait.

I always used Firefox to play VMK. I haven't been able to log in with it at all since VMK changed the main page. I updated Firefox at about the same time, so I'm not sure where the problem is. The log-in page comes up, but when I submit to log-in, I get the BSOD. I've deleted and reinstalled shockwave, no luck.

I checked the error console under the tools menu on FF after I try to log in and it has a list of things like:

I had those same error messages until i went to the shockwave site and installed the FULL version, not just the lite version

got an email for vmk and said to clear the chache so i did and then i deleted a game and re installed shock wave and it worked so happy yes

stiill hanging up in the one smae spot! ARG!!!

I also unpluged my router... and plug is back in.....

What else can I try??

Try uninstalling Flash, shockwave and clear temp and cookies then restart. Reinstall Shock and Flash and try again.

I'm with the vast majority of the people posting here apparently because it reaches that point and stays there for a long time (if I am lucky, 45 min... but usually an hour or 2).
