Being a realtor I can tell you these type units are extremely popular and will not stay on the market long waiting for a tenant. They quickly sell as well. It is such a versatile space. You can use it for a lot of different purposes and it opens up the flloor plan.

yeah, or like old warehouses that have been converted.

They sell well here too, but I wished a lot of amenities (grocery store, bank) were within walking distance. At work, we looked at a commercial loft across from the minor league baseball stadium. How cool would that be to have a view of right field right out the window. We went for a plain office with a lot of space to grow into. The tall windows, open floor plan and old architecture appeal to me.
