Loews card? Clarion?

I just booked 4 nights at the Clarion for our April 25 - 29 trip to Universal and Sea World (we've never been) Does anyone have scoop on the Clarion?

Also - what is a Loews card and how does one obtain it? I noticed a lot of discussion on it.

go to the Loews hotel site...loewshotels.com, click on loewsfirst and register...it takes a few weeks for the card to arrive, but, worth it for the free upgrade if you are staying on universal property.
