We are in cabin 6596 and DH was concerned if this is near a laundry room. I looked at the floorplan on Disney's site but didn't see any marked. Anyone know where they are located? Thanks

The laundry room on deck 6 is directly across from rm 6588, I know because this is where we were in Dec!:)

That means we are only four cabins away from it! Yikes I wonder if I should get our cabin moved after you had said people were so loud in there!

I don't think it would be as big an issue four cabins away. (I have been known to be incorrect before...just never admit it)LOL
Our worse problem was people leaning up against the door and when we would try to get into the room we would get dirty looks!
Also, we never lost our room...just walk down the hall until you feel the rush of HOT HUMID air and voila, you are there! :)
I think the noise problem stemmed from being directly across, because we never heard anything to the sides of us (unless the veranda door was open).

I think you will be fine there. Now here's hoping that if I finally DO get to book this cruise with you, I don't get stuck with 6588 again!:)

I used the laundry room on Deck 6 this past January and it was not noisy at all, just the machines, but you could not hear it once you walked away.

Here is a list of the laundry rooms onboard:

Deck 2 across from 2096

Deck 6 across from 6588

Deck 7 across from 7596

I went to do laundry and 6:45 am on a sea day and had to go to all three to finally find one that had an empty machine. Be warned....they do get busy, and people do not appreciate it when you let your laundry sit too long after it is done. They will take it out and put it on the table (which, personally I think is fine). So many people need the machines, that folks have to realize to get back on time. There is a timer on the machines so you know exactly in how many minutes you need to get back to the laundry room.

Also, the change machine and detergent dispenser both run out frequently. We bring our own quarters and Whisk tablets with us when we cruise. WE also bring dryer sheets, as they do not sell them in the laundry room.

Or maybe they could just set up a cot for you in the laundry room and leave Doug and Ryan at home. I will deliver room service to you :)

Funny I have not eer thought once about doing laundry on a cruise (or any vacation for that matter) we just use one suitcase as a "hamper". Probably would cut down on all the clothes I bring, with flying in a day ahead thats a lot of undies :)

We usually do a small load during the week because it never fails that one of spills something all over us!!!

Last cruise I sat in something horrible at Carlos and Charlies in my only pair of white pants and needed to do laundry!!

We also bring our own beach towels (DCL provides towels, but to me they are way to small) and sometimes need the dryers to dry them.

Well, I wouldn't need to get off the ship in CC that's for sure as staying in there would be like staying in a tropical jungle! (only spring fresh smell) LOL

I hadn't either. But MJ is right...from very very early morning until late at night those machines are constantly going! Apparently other folks do not overpack as much as moi.:)

Ok, don't want to steam you to death (good for your pores though :) ) how about I let you sleep on my veranda?

Hey, you said you would upgrade to a suite!:)

we had room 6580 on our cruise last October ,about as far away as your room from the laundry room but in the other direction and we had no problem at all with noise or people outside the room. I used the laundary once and it was handy being able to 'pop' back to our room while I was waiting for the washer and dryer to finish doing their thing!

I think it's great location, right in the middle of the boat, and I'm sure you'll feel the same. We are going to try to get the same room when we cruise again next summer. :)

I was actually just on travelocity looking for a getaway. My problem is I just sent off $1500.00 to our place at Cape Cod and almost $1600.00 for next years cruise so I don't have a great deal of wiggle room. BUT I am SO SO sick of the cold and snow I may just CHARGE IT!! Will let you know what I decide.

Oh, no. We're in 7598 in June. Do you think I should change our stateroom? I'm a rather light sleeper, especially away from home.

Last May we were in 6583 and we couldn't hear any laundry noise. There may be a bit more foot traffic in the hall at times, but nothing to be concerned about. We checked the laundry out but didn't have to use it. My wife packed enough clothes for a month cruise. Enjoy your cruise! ;)

YIKES! I just looked on the deck plans and our rooms 7600 and 7602 are just a cabin or 2 away from a laundry room. We've already recieved our docs. Should I try to move farther away from the laundry rooms? Do you think it will be too noisy being that close? We sail in 2 weeks. Should I worry about this?

From what Lisa said the only problem was being directly accross from the laundry room. Since you are a few doors down don't worry about it! :)
