Location for work call in MK?

Can anyone recommend a quiet area near the castle at 2pm for a brief work phone call?

My friend will be at MK with her family on a day she has a work call scheduled. Her lunch in the castle is at 12:20 and the brief work call will be at 2pm. The parade is at 2pm, from what I understand. Can anyone recommend the best option for a quiet place she can duck in to have a 15 min or so phone call? I am thinking the Contemporary but she'd have to hustle to get there by 2pm then find a quiet corner. I don't want to send her within the park since they wanted to have a break between 2-5pm at their resort, AoA.

Maybe upstairs at Columbia Harbor House? It's usually pretty quiet up there, especially after the lunch rush is over.

There are usually plenty of quiet corners in the Contemporary on the floor that has the convention facilities. Take the escalator near Steakhouse 71 up one flight.

There are 2 places near the castle that might be a little quieter. There’s is a concrete wall with some seating outside the rest rooms to the right of Pinocchio Village House. As well as by the stand alone walls before there. Although I think anyplace even a little quiet inside the park will be hit or miss, especially depending how many other people are in the immediate area. She could also just head outside the park. Maybe walk down the path towards GF or CR a little. Or even down the walkway at the bus stops. I wouldn’t go all the way to CR unless she needs absolute quiet. But I think she’ll be rushing to get there in that time frame.

I would just walk towards the GF - the path is super quiet.

You can try upstairs at the train station, as you will be on the call before the parade. Also, a little used walkway near the tomorrowland train station has lots of benches and is comparatively quiet. If you leave the park, you can follow the walkway towards GF, also a fairly quiet area in the afternoon. Good luck.

We were there last week, and the ambient crowd noise on Main Street while waiting for the 2:00pm parade was pretty loud. The PVH restrooms were still closed, but you can go almost up to where the restroom entrances were located. There were only a handful of people there and it was pretty quiet.

I wasn’t clear from your email if they are in or out of the parks at 2?
If in the park and they wanted to say goodbye to Tom Sawyer island , the porch on aunt Polly’s is pretty quiet.

If she has noise cancelling earbuds, then Tomorrowland terrace might work. At that time of day, if exiting the park, walking to where the handicap area is brings you to a pretty quiet sidewalk.

i wouldn't recommend anywhere in the park outside. The music is playing everywhere! and all you need is one screaming kid to make the call unworkable. I would aim to be indoors somewhere. Agree on upstairs of Columbia Harbor House as one good option. Or else Contemporary or outside on path to GF. Finally - what is going on in Pete's Silly Sideshow during the day? I feel like every time i've been there on non-party days, it's just been closed/empty. maybe if doors are open, that will be a big, quiet space?

It depends on the type of call. If you are HOSTING the call and doing the majority of the talking, then I would tend to find somewhere in a quiet area of the Contemporary. They have a lot of empty/long hallways in that conference area. If you are simply LISTENING to others speaking and you won't have a need to say anything, then put your phone on mute and you could do that from just about anywhere.

My opinion is she needs to find somewhere in MK. Considering she's having lunch in the castle at 12:20 she would be hustling to get to the Contemporary by 2:00. There is a good chance of her not making it there. I wouldn't want that stress for a work call.

As someone who has faced this challenge several times, you’d be surprised how much ambient music is all over the parks (never notice it until you’re playing hooky and need to take a call without magical soundscapes in the background). I don’t have great advice for MK, I was thinking maybe the cut through between Tron and the circus area might not have too much background noise…but you might be able to hear one or both coasters.

Week of November 1... I took the suggestion to leave the park and go down the path toward Grand Floridian, and passed it onto her.
