Anyone know when school gets out and starts back up in California? We would like to go to Dis when most kids are still in school.

A lot of CA is on a "track" system. Meaning the schools are divided into groups, and there are schools in sesion all year around. Here is a Disneyland park attendance graph- it should help you plan http://www.scottware.com.au/theme/feature/crowds.htm

There are a lot of parts of CA that are on track system. But the majority in the area around DLR, Anaheim Union High School District and such, are on traditional systems. Most get out usually around mid June and start back up the week after Labor day in Sept. The sweetpea is still in elementry but her schedule is traditional as well. So are the neighboring districts. My nephews who live out of Orange County are on track system. But those nearest to DLR are traditional.
