Lobster Roll.........Columbia Harbour House, is it any good? I am a seafood fan and have never tried a lobster roll. I like lobster........anyone a fan of this? or Not?

As---> (_8(l) Homer says......Emmmmmm...Lobster rolls.... DoH!

Just for the record, they used to offer this during F & W festival a few yrs. ago at the American Adventure small kiosk. When we went in 2014, sadly it wasn't on the menu anymore...Perfect way to use up a snack credit on the dining plan...:thumbsup2

DH likes it, but it was not on the menu the first week in March.

I guess if you are from the New England states, you have a different idea of a lobster roll. And that is great for them. But I love the one at the Columbia Harbor House.

I think it's fair calling it a lobster roll. It's like cole slaw or BBQ, do any two restaurants (or regions) ever agree on the best? Variety is fun!

Btw, you can get the same sandwich at Tomorrowland Terrace too, but I think eating it in Liberty Square makes it taste much, much better :)

It was heavier on celery than I expected (which is a drawback for me) but I would still order it again.

Even within New England states, they can be different (hot with melted butter or filled with cold lobster salad). Either one needs a split top bun grilled on each side.

But, having eaten McDonald's Lobster Rolls in MA because, lobster roll and now living where split top buns don't exist, I will take what I can get when it is available. (Except ever again at Red Lobster. That was a horror show.)

Is the one at Tomorrowland Terrace only at lunch as well?

Have had some wonderful lobster rolls at WDW (Food & Wine and Captain's Grill) but the one at CHH ........ it was so bad I didn't finish and threw it away. ALOT of mayo and bread. I don't throw away food lightly, disappointed.

We had it, it is ok. My DH is from Nova Scotia, we definitely had better there.

It is okay. I'm from Georgia, so don't know a whole lot about "authentic" lobster rolls. They just aren't that common here. The one at CHH did have a lot more mayo and bread than lobster,though. I prefer the fried shrimp and clam chowder there.

Thanks for the great replies, I think i will give it a try. The Contempo Cafe' at the contemporary serves these too.
