LOBSTER ? On Dining Plan ?

Is there any restaurants that serve lobster and is it included(for ordering) if you get the dining plan that includes table service ? TIA :)
 
Narcoossee's does have a Surf and Turf entree and Coral Reef has a Lobster Salad entree for lunch. Otherwise there is nothing on DDP where lobster is available other than as a bisque.

If you go to the top of this page and click on "dining" in the second row it will take you to another page. Enter lobster in the search field and it will give all the detail you need.
 
Narcoossee's has a Steamed Whole Maine Lobster dinner available for those on the regular dining plan,according to the menu.

Narcossee's is wonderful and the lobster there is worth 2 ts credits!:thumbsup2
 
The lobsters vary in quality at Narcoosee's. Sometimes pretty good, sometimes rather small and tough.
 
I don't know if it is still offered but Captain Jacks in DTD has a steak and lobster plate. It was only 1 TS credit each, and as I don't eat seafood I gave my lobster to DH who was more than happy to accept.

it's gone...there isn't even steak on the menu now. Think the only beef entree is pot roast now. Otherwise, salmon, chicken & shrimp/pasta are about it at Captain Jacks now.
 
This is because it is a victim of the Basic Disney Dining Plan!

Unfortunately, many people on the DDP, whether they pay for it directly or paying a higher rate for their room and getting "free" dining, look to the highest price items on the menu. This is based either on the attitude of "I paid for it and can get whatever I want" or "as long as it's free, let's get the best items".

For example, at Le Cellier there is a $22.50 difference in price between the lowest price adult lunch entree and the highest price dinner entree. Each restaturant receives a fixed dollar amount credit for each meal sold under DDP. Each restaurant has to make a profit.

As food costs go up it takes more money to operate a restaurant.

So as things progress more and more of the higher end cost items will vanish.

The signature restaurants do not have so much of a problem as they get paid double the regular restaurants.

If they ever do away with the Basic DDP within about six months you will find a lot more high end selections at all the restaurants.
 
There is lobster eggs benedict at the Grand Floridian Cafe. It's quite good and only one TS.
 
If you are looking for a whole lobster or lobster tails, Narcoosees is your only option.
