Loan Paid Off Question

Hi, I just paid off my loan early for my original DVC contract which was direct through Disney at the time. I assume I will be getting my deed in the mail. Having never paid off a home or timeshare loan before, my question is basically, about how long should I expect before I get the deed? Thank you.

You should already have a copy of the deed. What you will receive is a copy of the Satisfaction of Mortgage once it's been recorded with the appropriate jurisdiction.

You got the deed when you purchased. What you will get soon, probably in a month or so but could take two months, is a Notice of Satisfaction of the mortgage loan. If you have a WDW resort, both the deed and the notice (after it is filed) can be found on the Orange County Comptroller's site http://or.occompt.com/recorder/eagleweb/docSearch.jsp (click I Acknowledge to go to document search page).

Thanks for the answers, I appreciate it. Will keep my eyes out for the satisfaction of mortgage docs. I completely forgot about already having the deed. I haven't gone through all the original paperwork in quite some time. Thank you!
