LL Premier Pass is here!

3 of us will want to do top tier rides. My DIL will be 5 months pregnant. (This trip was planned a year in advance.)
I get your point about the rides & wait times for toddlers. Thanks.
If there are younger kids, Epcot has a lot of rides without height restrictions (second to MK): Frozen, Remy, Nemo, Living with the land, Turtle Talk, Spaceship Earth, Figment)

Disney should do a free line skipping system like Universal deluxe resorts.
Universal did that as a contractual thing with Lowes who own and operate the hotels. It doesn't apply to the new park or for guests at the hotel attached to that park. The blogs say they wouldn't do it any more if they weren't under contract to include it for those hotel guests.

Let’s not also forget about the option to just go to an after hours event. Costs significantly less, you don’t have to stay at a deluxe, a lot less people = even shorter lines than LL. Gives you the whole day to do other things. I get that this isn’t an option for kitties who do late nights. But I’d def a comparative option to consider for a fraction of the cost.
The problem is - an After Hours event might not be offered during your vacay. We will be there Feb 1-9 and only have 1 DAH event during those 9 days. It is at MK and we are doing it - but I would love one for HS.

But that’s the point. Only offer it to those already paying $$$ to stay at deluxe resorts. Otherwise people might stay at a value and buy the LMPP to save $. I don’t think this pass is meant for people trying to save money…. It’s really for those willing to pay top dollar for convenience.
They are leaving money on the table (if it is not a sell-out). We are going for 9 days and I had to book 3 rooms, so we are staying at a mod because of the # of rooms I am paying for. I would gladly pay for this for our party of 6 for 2 to 3 days of our vacation if it were offered to me.

I just got the following very helpful and definitive answers to my questions via email including when on sale starts and whether you can upgrade a LLMP or whether having one stops you from getting an LLPP:

The new Lightning Lane Premier Pass will not be available to purchase for any Guests until October 30, 2024, at 7:00 a.m., Eastern Time. At that time, you will be able to purchase the Lightning Lane Premier Pass for the length of your stay, if you are staying at Disney Deluxe Resort hotels, Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts and other select hotels. Information regarding the new Lightning Lane Premier Pass can be found on our website.

The Lightning Lane Multi Pass cannot be upgraded to a Lightning Lane Premier Pass. As the Lightning Lane Premier Pass and the Lightning Lane Multi Pass are separate products, you may purchase both for the same day.

We would like to point out that the Lightning Lane Premier Pass is only valid for one Theme Park. For Guests with a Theme Park Ticket with Park Hopper® Option, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will only be valid for the Theme Park that you choose at the time of purchase. If you want to have the ability to choose Attractions from multiple parks on the same day then purchasing the Lightning Lane Multi Pass would be helpful.

Guests may still purchase up to two Lightning Lane Single Passes per day, and these may be purchased for Attractions from different Theme Parks when utilizing the Park Hopper® Option. While these Attractions are included in the Lightning Lane Premier Pass, if you would like to experience the Attraction more than one time during that day, purchasing the Lightning Lane Single Pass would give you that flexibility.

Virtual Queues are also separate from any of the Lightning Lane Passes, therefore, you could also try for a Boarding Group for an Virtual Queue Attraction and also ride that Attraction using the Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Disney remembers. This will generate $$$ revenue. Nominal cost to Disney. No risk to Disney
Not entirely.

I happened to hear about this while listening to the radio. The DJ's laughed at the pricing.

This has a strong potential to generate negative publicity for WDW.

With this, you can only do each ride once, and can't park hop. The Philarmagic LL is not particularly valuable. In Epcot, most days a number of rides have waits that are 15 min or less, like Nemo and the Land. The Epcot value of this pass is rides like GoG, Rat, and FEA. And that is assuming none of those rides goes down.
Looking right now, FEA is down. The only other ride with a posted wait over 15 min is Soarin', which had a much shorter wait earlier in the day.

And we all know the posted wait times are often inflated.

If someone pays $200+ then sees most of the rides were walk-on/near walk-on, they may well describe the pass as a bit scammy, when they could have bought LLMP instead for a far lower price.

Right now, in Epcot- paying $200 for 3 rides- since FEA is down- would basically be paying $67 per- worthwhile- LL.

During summer storms, a large chunk of AK suspends operations. It is pretty common in the summer. No EE, safari, animal attractions, Kali, and soon no Dinosaur. A family who buys this would only be able to use this on FoP, FotLK, Nemo, Tough tba Bug, and Na'vi for the duration of the storms. They'd have to wait for the storm to pass to use any other entitlements, and that might not happen before 6pm park close.

To fill vacant rooms.
Same as with every other discount and promotion WDW sells.
Just my opinion but there’s no way I see Disney doing this for “free” for Deluxe and DVC guests. With the kind of value they are placing on this I would see them keeping it as is, and if they do expand it to more resort guests maybe they would offer a discount on it for deluxe level rooms.

I also don’t see a regular fastpass system like LLMP ever going away. It’s just too popular and effective (and now making them lots of money at our expense). I’ve said this before but our family will never visit again if there is not a “regular “ system in place. We did standby only (because it’s all they offered) July/August 2021. Despite our best efforts we rode far less attractions and spent far more time in lines and felt like we had to be at the parks super early every day. 🤮

I remember people were way more upset with Genie+. Many "predicted" a massive drop in attendance and an early demise of Disney.

There has been no massive drop in attendance. The parks are as crowded as ever, and Genie+ had morphed into several products with an even higher price tag.

We went June 2021. I had the most depressing and miserable time ever in all my years going to WDW. I'm still trying to erase it all from my memory. 😵
We went in in early June 2021, we did blizzard beach, MK x2, and HS and rode everything with low waits! But could’ve been a low crowd thing?

either way, it was post Covid and crowds were no where near what they usually are, so despite our positive experience I def wouldn’t want to go back to standby only either!

I read once that if you can’t take $100 bill, light it on fire and flush it down the toilet without getting angry you aren’t ready for a Disney trip. :rotfl:

I have 1-2 days where we will do our LLMP in the PM at DHS and RD a different park. I know a lot of the rides sell out at DHS and I’m afraid we won’t get anything when we hop over.

I know we won’t pull any additional passes but this is how we utilized FP+ and it worked well for us. It pains me to do this because now I’m paying for it but I’m going for quality over quantity. I know some will see it as a waste of money but I’m trying to forget the cost and just enjoy ourselves.
I could light a $100 bill on fire and flush it but would rather help pay for someone’s groceries or hand out an extra nice tip. I can’t justify the price.

For a few years before Covid, deluxe club guests were able to purchase 3 extra Fast Passes per day for 3 days. This program was so successful that I believe it gave rise to Genie+.

These Premium LL passes only need a small audience. I think they will be very popular.
MaxPass (started in 2017) at DLR predates Genie+ and also predates Club Level purchasable extra fastpasses

I went October 2020, I’d call it my least favorite trip out of over 50. Shorter lines were great but messing with masks, no freedom to park hop, short hours. I missed fastpass.
