LL Premier Pass is here!

Thanks, @lanejudy - I'm going November 3-9 and will be buying for at least 1 of my park days! Can't wait to see how this works as I can't do park open to close when I bring my dog to the Fort!
I assume you mean DVC Cabins at the Fort? Just double checking as you can only book LLPP if you are staying in DVC Cabins at the Fort, the rest of the property is not eligible to purchase.
Here’s the thing with the return anytime window. People that pay that much are going to expect speedy access. How do you guarantee that if they are still queuing up with people booking times on that same ride for a fraction of the cost? That would kill the expensive version right away. But if enough people want the expensive version for the convenience, why not ice out the regular one? That’s usually how these things go.
LLs have been reported to be seriously under capacity over the last 4 months. Disney has tons of capacity to load into LLPP if they so chose without blocking out LLMP/SP. The goal is the most money and they have the capacity to sell both. Disney has a problem with the high end slowing down at WDW (literally said so on their conference call) so there is no way in heck they will put all their eggs in the LLPP basket.
The additional cost is on top of the day ticket, I assume? So for MK it could be $600 a day?
Yes you have to buy a ticket- even VIP tours still have to buy park tickets.

I don't camp 🤣 - always a Cabin girl and amped for the new ones!

This is an absolute "hell-no" from this camp. We went this summer and had absolutely no issue getting ANY ride at ANY time. Why in the world would I ever pay 2 - 3x the cost of my already-purchased ticket to ride the same rides I have ridden 900 times for "free"? Disney has lost the plot.

Just because you personally wouldn’t want it, does that mean Disney shouldn’t offer it?

I mean, DH and I don’t do character breakfasts or PhotoPass. They’re overpriced for what you get, and we prefer to do regular character meets and take our own photos. Does that mean Disney shouldn’t offer them for those people who do find them worthwhile?

I also went during the summer and for the most part I got on everything we wanted but did miss a few rides however I would still consider getting LLPP. I don't think Disney missed anything, it's a pilot program and we'll see who buys in. I think it will be popular just look at the dessert parties, the after hours events....etc none of those are cheap experiences yet sell out all the time.

No not really you are not the target audience for LLPP. They are targeting this Pilot offering to a very specific type of Disney visitor.

Dave
Oh, I agree. I would never pay deluxe at Disney, nor would I pay for this. I am sure there is a market, cuz they would not offer it, otherwise. I am just hoping it goes the way of the Galactic Starcruiser. Because someone paying 400 more is never enough for Disney....everything around it goes up in price, too.

This is shocking at the prices, we're coming in the summer,(5 of us) I'm sure it will be at the highest price! Can I afford it? Yes, will I, NO. I'll still do MP& LL as this past summer.

I guess it's good for people that want to buy it.

I'm definitely going to Epic but I don't think the process of getting tickets is appealing to me. As of right now, I have to choose between buying a package on 10/22 (and pay full cost to enter UO/IOA although I already have an AP), or wait until 10/24 to use my AP privilege for Epic-only tickets (and risk not getting the dates I want).

Not really! Some Disney guests have been hoping for a similar system like Universal's Express Passes.

Absolutely 100 percent. And their rollouts...are not great. And that's being generous. I remember the signups for UOAP nights in August was an absolute disaster, pass holder preview signups for Dreamworks land were not exactly great either. UOAP and I am looking forward to Epic but I already know that there is a real chance i won't even be able to get tickets for Epic in a week.
We were going to get new APs early next year, meaning we won't have activated APs next week, which is required to get the AP single day tickets. We're just going multiple times before Epic opens and then staying away for awhile.

I bet most people who pay for line skipping do it because they don't want to wait in lines with small kids. I'm not sure how many DINKS are willing to spend $400 each to get on small world and Barnstomer, tea cups, Aladdin etc.. when they can spend $20 to get on Tron and pay $30 to easily get several tier one attractions.
There are also adults who have anxiety in lines and crowds but don't quite qualify for a disability pass.
I wish they had a hopper option as well.

This exactly. I'd get a couple days of it for upcoming trip if it offered a multi park option

Here is the thing though. While the initial purchase at the 7 day mark might not take much time, if you are going during a busy time, like Thanksgiving or Christmas break, it looks like it could be hard to get any additional rides after your prebooked ones. Especially if you have a larger group like we do, and dont want to rope drop. This year we have 2 teenagers, and 2 tweens in our party. They have all fully (finally) embraced sleeping in lol. I don't want to drag all of us out of bed at 6 am every day of our trip to rope drop and get that early 1st scan to start booking more rides. The plan when we booked this trip last year, for Thanksgiving week, was to do G+ and stack rides and show up around 10-11 am and stay late rather than get up early. With the way it is now, by the time we would scan in to our first ride, there likely wouldn't be much left. With this, we can show up when we get there and take our time and still do all the rides we want to do. I don't mind the time planning at all. I've done it several times. But I will be frustrated if I pay $35 per person (or more) and only get 3 rides because they are all gone by the time I can book another one.
Yes, I loved rope drop when I had a kid who woke me up at 6 a.m. every morning for years. Now my youngest is in high school and we would all be very unhappy waking up early on vacation.

DINKS here ready and willing! 😂 (just for MK day)

Any thoughts as to how this will affect LLMP & LLSP availability for those of us staying off property with date based tickets & booking at 3 days out, length of ticket? Should we plan of things being "sold out" when we book?

Also, any idea if this will drive price up for LLMP & LLSP? (going in Jan 2025)

Obviously I have ZERO inside information, but I would think they wouldn't affect each other. LLMP and LLSP are time based and LLPP isn't. So I don't see how they could even remotely consider what times wouldn't be available because a LLPP owner could go at anytime they want. Two totally separate systems. No way to extrapolate this early.

Now....once it's been out they could take the data of when the LLPPs are typically utilized and could then do some analysis based on trends. But even that would still be tricky and they'd need a lot of data.

Summer isn't Disney's highest season anymore. If it follows Genie+ pricing the highest prices will be Xmas-New Years and Spring Break.

Completely agree with this! And I don’t think it’s only major holidays. Any busy day at MK or DHS presents this problem. I’m planning a long weekend trip with a girlfriend over Veterans Day weekend. Because we only have a few days, I was hoping to do 1/2 days at a couple parks. Start at Park 1 in the morning, take a pool break early afternoon, and go to Park 2 late afternoon. But that means I’ll only get 3-4 decent attractions at the first park, and nothing super desirable at the second park later in the day (even if I show up at park opening at 1st park and immediately tap in and book for later). $30-50 per person (to include 1 LLSP) for only 3-4 attractions, with all the scheduling that has to be done in advance and/or “day of” just doesn’t appeal to me. Not sure that I’ll actually bite the bullet and pay for LLPP for one of our park days since it doesn’t offer the hopper option, but if it did, I would at least try it once!

"Lost the plot"? On the contrary - Disney has found another way to add to their revenue stream, something every company in a capitalistic society strives for.

People are willing to pay more for an airplane seat closer to the front, significantly higher to get a bigger seat with more room. This is no different. Each person/family is free to choose what makes the most sense for their situation and budget. This is merely a new option, like a new deluxe resort vs. a value resort.

Infrastructure. The physical Lightning Lanes are already there and are designed to hold 10 minutes worth of guests. That’s how they have operated for over 10 years. Selling fewer LL passes, even at the lower tier, would be leaving money on the table. That goes against Disney’s current philosophy of monetizing everything possible.
Here is the thing, I happen to think this is going to be very popular. It’s a pilot, so they are testing the waters and can’t go too big with it, yet. But having people paying an extreme premium for the ability to walk on, whenever, won’t work if there are too many pre booked at the reduced rate. They probably already know the algorithm/number they could sell that would allow all day premier access alone, they are just testing the demand for it. If you want the current system to continue to exist you better hope nobody buys the Premier, but considering how well received that seems to be, the Mouse is already seeing dollar signs. It’s not leaving money on the table, quite the opposite.

I can where it becomes you only get you 3 prebooks and availability will be left for those who paid for the Premier pass

They don’t come close to selling out at MultiPass/Genie+ prices, except on days the parks practically close for capacity. What makes you think they would sell out their capacity at almost 10x the price?

A Week at a Deluxe hotel - $6800

Airfare - $1600

Park Admission for a family of 4 - $2800

LLPP for a day - $1520

4 Egg Sandwiches from Cake Bake Shop - $92

Telling your kids Santa isn't coming this year - PRICELESS

To be very real though there is no shortage of people who either have money or will spend money they don't, in order to enjoy themselves at Disney World. And Disney knows this. People will use this service just like they will pay for Deluxe activities and expensive character meals and expensive light sabers and expensive sugary drinks with barely any alcohol in them etc... I don't think they care about optics anymore they realize where their bread and butter are and are going after it without tip-toeing around.

Fun fact: Bread and butter at Cake Bake Shop is like $18!
