It looks like the lunch at the GF cafe was a lot of fun, sounds like the guys really had a good time. I love the shots on the monorail; what a great treat! The picture of you being carried over the threshold is really sweet too. It is so neat having people give you those little moments of extra magic like when you were at the hotel; we had a couple of those moments and it really makes you feel like a celebrity

We were lucky to have such a nice lunch...I know Lynn had her lunch "reception" there afterwards and wasn't too happy with it. I guess we just lucked out.

I get hungry too whenever I look at the yummy Mickey waffles! DH keeps begging me to find out how to make them! Yes, Tanis was the absolute best! I loved her!

Wedding Day - Concluded - Fireworks Cruise!!

Later that night, everyone except my aunt and Tim's brother went to the Contemporary Resort and took a fireworks cruise that we booked three months ago. It was terrific! Our driver came here from Brazil and was still working on his English. He was extremely nice and seemed very happy to be in America. This was his first Independence Day, so he was very excited! The boat was all decorated for the Fourth of July, with streamers and noisemakers and everything. There were chips and drinks for us to enjoy while we were out on the lake.

FIL - you can see the chips in the corner. When we left we grabbed all the chips and drinks we could! We figured it was worth it for what we paid for the ride!

The new villas they are building at the Contemporary (Tim was verrry excited to see new construction and just had to find out what they were building!)

Our wonderful driver who shared all sorts of Disney tidbits throughout the ride!

He showed us where there used to be an old water park called River Country that closed when Typhoon Lagoon opened. It is still there, fully intact. We were talking about how it would be so cool to sneak into it and walk around sometime. He also showed us an island where the land is preserved and can never be built on because so many birds inhabit it. He shined his flashlight over there and the trees were almost white with birds!

He also pointed out that if you look at the front of the Wilderness Lodge, it looks like a face! Can you see it? Look carefully!

Around 9:00, we pulled up in the middle of the lake along with several other boats to watch the fireworks over the Magic Kingdom. We were also able to see Epcot's and one of the other park's (don't remember which). It was like a triple, surround-sound fireworks display! They were amazing!

After the fireworks were over, we headed back to the Contemporary and said goodbye to our driver. FIL & MIL headed over to Epcot to do their own thing, while the rest of us headed back to the hotel via the monorail. We got off at the wrong stop, thinking we could catch a bus at the Parking & Transportation Center. We were WRONG, but we got these pics while we were looking for the bus...

We finally got back on the monorail and went to MK, where we caught a bus to POFQ. I remembered to take a pic of the date on the display right before we got off

All in all, the wedding was absolutely perfect and exceeded my expectations. I would do it again at Disney in a heartbeat and I am sad that it is over. I was surprised at just how fast everything went. I felt like we barely got to see our beautiful cake before it was cut, dismantled, and boxed up. I spent so much time planning all of these little things that wound up not mattering that much in the end anyways. I am so glad that we didn’t spend money on things like Cinderella’s Carriage or visits from different characters, because I honestly did not miss those aspects or wish we had them for one second. The day was absolutely perfect down to the last detail and I feel so lucky to have experienced it. I will always treasure my memories of our wedding day for the rest of my life.

Thank you!!! I got my flip flops from Flojos.com. They aren't fancy ones or anything, but I put hidden Mickeys on them and I loved them! Here's some pics: (sorry so huge!)

As far as the fireworks cruise, we booked a basic pontoon boat (there is a deluxe one too that plays the Wishes soundtrack), which is usually around $250 or something like that I think. We wound up paying much more than that because it was a holiday. I would have never gone for it, except that it was our wedding day and I knew it would be a perfect ending to it and would be very special. Oh, there was also a limit of eight people on the boat we had. There might be bigger ones that hold ten people, but I'm not positive about that. For food, you are not allowed to bring any food or drinks on the boat, but you can order food from Disney Dining to be served. HTH!

Liz, I agree that everything goes SOOOO...fast! Some of things were planned so carefully, and so detailed, yet when they day arrived, it was over in a blink of an eye. And the cake, yes, I feel like I only had a second to look at my cake, then they cut it up! That being said....it was also the most perfect, magical day ever! And your day seemed perfect too! It was a perfect way to end your special day with a wishes cruise and with it being the 4th it had to be extra special!

wonderful updates Liz! DF rented one of those boats for just the two of us, that's when he proposed! It was such a great experience. You got a lot of great pics! I also love your flip flops! They are so cute! can't wait for more!
