*~*Lizby's Fairy Tale Wedding PJ/TR*~* - Day Seven FINALLY

I just read through your trip report so far and it sounds like everything has been great so far.

Randy is absolutely amazing and I'm sure you probably can't wait to see your shots. I know the wait about killed me :upsidedow

My DH and I went to Cinderella's Royal Table the night after our wedding and had a great time too. He didn't think he was going to enjoy it, but he had fun too. I had the prime rib too and it was definitely very delicious!

I've seen those frogs on previous trips at POR too; they can be everywhere sometimes!:bounce:

It was so hot!! We took our pictures on the beach at the Poly and by the end of the shoot we were all driping in sweat!! :scared: It was gross so I am hoping that the pictures come out good.

You would never know that that he was tired or hot from your wedding. He was calm and cool and so great when we met up with him. I am so impressed by him!! I will have to have Randy do some goofy pictures for our wedding as well. I want them to have some posed but more fun and natural. I can't wait to see your pictures from him ...actually I want to see mine as well !!! :rotfl:

We had a few pics done at GF beach while we were there for lunch and I'm afraid we both have squinty eyes. It was SO bright it felt like I was blinded!

Great pictures! I love the dress you're wearing in your honeymoon shoot!! It's so pretty!

Ok, how did they manage to get all those shots with no other guests in them?? Aren't the honeymoon shoots during the day?

Thank you so much! I really love that dress too. I bought it while we were honeymooning in FL and it was sooo comfy. The honeymoon pics were done at 9:30 a.m. Our photographer did a great job capturing just the perfect moment when there were no people standing behind us. She also tried to pick spots that were not extremely populated, to make it easier.

How long did you have to wait for your Randy shots? He told me three-four weeks (which would be as soon as this Friday!) but I'm not getting my hopes up because I know he is super busy. I can't wait to see them though!

I'm glad you liked CRT too...it was such a great experience that totally spoiled me and now I think I will want to go there every time we visit!

When we moved to our other hotel we saw loads and loads of those frogs. They were all over the stairwells. They are so cool!

Friday, 7/4/08 - Wedding Day!!!!

Well our big day finally arrived! It was absolutely magical and better than I could have ever hoped!

We didn’t go to sleep the night before until 1:30. DH slept on the floor in his brothers' room (they offered him a bed, but he wanted to sleep on the floor) and MOH slept in my room. DH was sad that we couldn’t sleep in the same room but I wanted to follow tradition. MOH gave me my beautiful bridal shower book last night before we went to sleep. It is so sweet! It has a list of people who came, which gifts people brought, advice from everyone on how to have a happy marriage, and lots of pictures. I love it!

So we woke up in the morning at 5:30 and I quick showered (I already washed my hair the night before.) Ana and Lily from Beaute Speciale came to our room right at 6:00 a.m. and got to work.

Before they started
NoMakeup.jpg

Ana did my hair and makeup and Lily did MOH's and MIL's hair. They did a phenomenal job! They kept working on it until we were completely happy. My bangs were a giant pain…Ana did them and I didn’t really like them, so she did my makeup and then Lily did my bangs similar to the way she did MOH's and I really liked them. The lady that cut my hair three weeks before the wedding cut them too short and it almost screwed the whole hairstyle up, but Lily flat ironed them really straight so they looked longer. They kept curling and recurling everyone’s hair until every part was perfect. They were also really nice and funny too! They talked to us and kept us perked up the whole time. At one point, Lily even helped MOH figure out how to use the coffee pot and made us coffee! I am so glad we picked them.

Lily, me, MOH, and Ana
LilyAna.jpg

The makeup was heavier than I usually wear (because I don’t normally ever wear foundation, just a little pressed powder) but it made my skin look perfect. It felt a little heavy, but I liked the effect it gave for the one day. I sure was happy to wash it off at night though! I also had false eyelashes and Ana was so good about explaining what they would feel like and making sure I was comfortable with them before finishing. They were also just the stick on ones, so they were very easy to remove at the end of the day.

While we were eating, BIL brought Mickey waffles over for MIL, MOH, and I, and they were delicious! My makeup and bangs weren’t done while I was eating, which I started getting nervous about as time crept by, so I couldn’t finish my breakfast. While we were getting ready, the limo driver (Fabio) stopped by our room to ask what room the guys were in and went to go pick them up.

My DEEEELICIOUS Mickey waffles!

MOH's Mickey waffle was getting freaky with the sausage... :rotfl2:

We were expecting Randy to come around 8:45, but he wound up being about half an hour early. He started taking pictures as soon as he arrived. He was so nice and very easy to work with. Soon, Ana and Lily were finished.

Putting the veil on!!

I paid them and they were on their way, leaving me with a foundation touch-up and lipstick touch-up. Randy told me it was time to get into my dress (I love how he knew just what to do!) and then he stepped outside. I quick put on my dress and my necklace and earrings. I slipped on my Mickey-ized flip flops and thanked my good judgment again in selecting flip flops over heels. They were very comfortable. I did remember to put on perfume! I wore Burberry (it was a free sample I got from the mall like eight months ago with the intention of buying the whole bottle. I never bought the perfume, but I did bring the sample, which worked out perfectly!)

Randy took some pictures around the hotel, and then left to go get pictures of the guys at the Boardwalk. My aunt arrived shortly after Randy and was following him taking pictures too.

Bride-4.jpg

Then, we were all waiting for the limo to come back and decided to use the bathroom one last time before we were off…easier said than done in a huge wedding dress! We were waiting for the limo driver to come back for us, when DH called MIL and started asking where we were and told her the wedding planner (Tanis) said the limo driver was at the resort waiting for us! He later told me that he was getting nervous that we weren’t going to show up because we were taking so long! We went outside to look for Fabio, and he wound up being parked really far away, by the room the guys were in. We all thought he would come to the room or someone would at least call from DFTW to tell us he’s there.

So anyways, we got in the limo and relaxed for a couple of minutes. (I know a lot of the brides don't like the limo and think it's too prom-like, but I loved how it held all of us and I've never ridden in one before, so I was still excited! :) ) MIL ditched her stockings the second we got in the limo, deciding they were too hot and her shoes kept slipping off because of them. We basically just sat and enjoyed the few minutes before all of the excitement would begin.

You were so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your hair was great!!!! I can't wait to see more.

Wedding Day Continued

Soon, we arrived at the Boardwalk resort and we all got out and met Tanis and her assistant, Kevin. We went inside and Tanis gave me my bouquet of red roses and seeded eucalyptus.
GettingFlowers.jpg

I loved them!!!!!!!!!
Lovethem.jpg

My aunt got a pin-on corsage with orchids and MIL got a wrist corsage with a white rose to match FIL's boutonniere. After we all got our flowers, Randy took some pictures of MOH and I while the guys waited.

This is a nice pic from back at POFQ that shows the back of her dress
MOH.jpg

Tanis took us down a hallway and into an elevator to go downstairs. On the way through the hallway, a man stopped to congratulate me and told me how beautiful my dress was (a comment I heard many times during the day!) Once downstairs, we saw this cool traveling piano that had a bicycle seat at the back which was kind of neat. We walked down another hallway to outside, where Tanis checked to make sure we all had flats on so we didn’t have to worry about tripping.

As we were walking up the boardwalk to Sea Breeze Point, everything kind of hit me at once. When I got my first glimpse of SBP and saw the guys standing there, I just started crying. Not sad tears, just overwhelmed, happy, emotional tears. I tried really hard to blink them back.

Here I am laughing at myself for crying and trying to wipe them away
Girls.jpg

We got to the left wing of SBP, where I met Reverend Jack. He was nice and told me I looked beautiful and everything. Then, he walked back up front and my aunt and MIL took their seats. MOH and I got in our spots while Tanis explained we would walk up the side aisle, around the back of the chairs, and up towards the front. The plan was for Tim to meet me halfway and walk me up the aisle. I thought he would be positioned there already, but he was standing up front. The music started and MOH walked up the aisle first. Then, the violinist started playing “Here Comes the Bride”, and Tanis told me that was my cue. I got REALLY emotional when I heard that and the tears were just streaming down my face. I started walking up (I don’t think I walked too fast like I worried I would) and DH turned around and walked towards me and offered his arm and we walked up together. I was a little disappointed because I thought he would already be standing halfway down and Randy would be able to get a picture of him seeing me for the first time, but it didn’t work out that way. Oh well, it wasn’t a big deal at all, and I thought it was really cute how he offered his arm to me.

We walked up the aisle as instructed. Reverend Jack said his introduction and had me hand my bouquet over to Tiff. He did have us hold hands, as I wanted him to when I wrote the vows. When DH was saying his vows, he was clearly nervous and was doing the giggle he gets when he’s nervous. He didn’t like my aunt videotaping us, but I had asked her to, so she was just following directions. Before I knew it, we had both said our vows and he put the ring on my finger. BIL was holding it on his finger in his pocket (he was worried about losing it).
Vows.jpg

Then it was time to kiss each other and Reverend Jack introduced us as husband and wife! That was kind of weird to actually refer to him as my HUSBAND. We walked back the aisle towards the grass to the Imperial March from Star Wars. It was awesome. We went down on the grass and everyone came up and hugged and congratulated us.

Then, it was time to cut the cake.

Cake table set-up

Timmy and I stood behind the cake table and drank some sparkling apple cider. Tanis gave us the very un-sharp knife and we cut the cake together.

Cake.jpg

They cut a little piece for each of us to feed each other and while DH didn’t totally smear it all over my face, he did manage to wipe a little on my face. It was funny though.

CakeFace.jpg

Then they had us sit at the tables on the grass while they served the cake and cider. The cake was marble with chocolate mousse filling and was good. We still had a ton leftover, which they sent with us in the limo. We actually wound up forgetting it in there and the limo driver kindly dropped it off at the resort for us to pick up later. While we were having the cake, the violinist, Rob, was playing for us.

TanisRob.jpg

He was so cool! He was taking requests and even played “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zepplin. At one point he was playing tunes from Disney movies and having us try to guess which movie it was from. He was really superb and was so much fun. Everyone really liked him a lot.

Up next...lots of pictures!!!

Oops, forgot this one in the previous post: You may kiss the bride!!!

Us enjoying our cake
CakeReception.jpg

After cake and cider, Randy took about 364,913 pictures of us (although I honestly loved every minute of it! It was so much fun!) At one point DH and BIL were hanging upside down from the slats covering the aisle I walked up at SBP! I thought it was hilarious and Randy totally worked with their goofiness and took pictures of me kissing Tim upside down and everything. We walked back up the boardwalk and he took lots more pictures. Eventually, everyone but Timmy and I was sent inside to cool off because it was really starting to get hot outside. When the wedding started, it wasn’t hot at all. The weather was absolutely PERFECT. I wasn’t too hot in my dress as I feared, and the sky was the perfect blue with some puffy white clouds floating past. We took all kinds of pictures, including ones throwing petals, ducks that walked past, Robby climbing a light post, and Tim and I on a surrey, among many others. I was so very happy when Tim pulled out the pocket watch I gave him as a wedding present, instead of a ring, and asked Randy to take pictures of him with it. I was so glad to see that he truly liked it and he looked great with it.

Be prepared to see this all day long if you use Randy :lmao:

Liz, loving the pics! My cake was almost identical to yours! :rotfl: Can't wait to see more! :goodvibes

Oh, WOW! Liz, you were stunning! Your hair and makeup are so beautiful and the gown was absolutely gorgeous on you. I am so glad the pocket watch turned out to be the perfect thing for Tim. Your cake table was really pretty. Love the carousel horses. I am so glad that Randy captured your spirits and personalities so well. You'll have those precious memories immortalized forever. I hope each picture brings to mind that perfect moment that it captured.
Thank you for sharing. We want more! (You know we DIS brides are a very greedy bunch! ;) ).

I love all the pictures so far. The Mickey waffle looked yummy; I love how you got pictures of all the little things like that you're a girl after my own heart :goodvibes My DH is always joking about getting pictures for the scrapbook.

I'm always fussy about my bangs too, so I understand your frustration.

The bouquet was really pretty, do you have closeup to show the eucalypis (I think I totally messed up that spelling :rotfl:).

I love the surrey bike shots and the one of the guys climbing the pole.

Isn't Randy great, I definitely can't say enough good things about him!

Thank you very much, Cam! I was thrilled when I gave him the pocket watch and he loved it. Then, when he pulled it out on the wedding day and asked Randy to get pictures of him with it (without me saying A WORD about doing this), I nearly burst with happiness! It showed me that he truly did like it and it was meaningful to him.

Randy exceeded all of our expectations by far. I can't wait to see our pictures! As soon as his pics come in, I'll definitely let you girls know!!

I knew that I would want to remember every moment of our wedding day and of our honeymoon. That's why I came home with about 1,000 pictures! :scared1: No clue what to do with all of them except pile them into albums. I already made a scrapbook detailing what we did each day, which only used about 100 of them.

Thank you for the bouquet compliment! It was EXACTLY what I wanted! I don't have a close-up of the seeded eucalyptus, but I'm sure Randy got some. Here is my inspiration picture, which shows it nicely:
Bouquet3.jpg

I think mine wound up being much bigger than the one pictured though. It was just the most gorgeous honkin' bouquet of fragrant red roses and it made me SO happy! :cloud9:

Liz your pictures are beauitful I can wait to see the professional ones!!!!!

You were so beautiful! Your bouquet was amazing and your DH is hilarious!!

Soon we were all done with pictures at the Boardwalk (Randy even made sure to get the shot I wanted in front of the Boardwalk sign!), and we drove Randy over to his car in the limo, since he was parked pretty far away.
Limo.jpg

Then we headed over to the Grand Floridian, where we said goodbye to the limo driver, since we weren’t going to be finished with pictures and lunch before our time was up. We went inside and SO many people congratulated us and commented on my dress. Randy took us out onto the beach and got some more pictures. The sun was very, very bright reflecting off the sand, so we might be all squinty in all of the pictures. I don't have any previews of those, so beach pictures will have to wait until Randy's pics come in. Afterwards, Randy said goodbye (I just can’t rave about how awesome he was enough! At one point he even took the cart out of a towel return shed and got a picture of Tim inside peeking through the slot because he knew he liked the silly shots.)

We went back inside and picked up everyone who was getting bored and kind of sleepy, since no one slept much the night before. This is the scene we came in to:
Sleepy.jpg

My aunt and MIL bustled my dress and we went over to the Grand Floridan Café for lunch. We were a few minutes late for the reservation and it took a couple minutes for them to get our table ready. In the meantime, my aunt gave me an adorable Eeyore wearing patriotic clothes, with the date on his paw. It was so sweet!

We finally were seated and got our menus. The guys all got black napkins to put over their tux pants. I had to ask for napkins for my dress. They gave me two white ones, one of which was wrapped around my bouquet to dry it when we left. They were kind enough to put it in a big vase of water while we were eating so it didn’t wilt.

Lunch.jpg

Bs.jpg

I ordered a roast beef sandwich which came with homemade potato chips. It was very good! Sorry no pics...I did manage to keep my dress clean though! DH was drinking Captain and Cokes and MOH ordered this blue glowtini drink that had a glowing ice cube in it. I sat on the far end of the one side of the table, so there was more room for my dress, and DH sat next to me. There was this table of kids’ busy activities next to where we were sitting, so Tim and his brothers were all coloring this picture of Pooh Bear and making it really funny and sometimes obscene.
Pooh.jpg

To be continued....

Here are a couple other pics from lunch (DH was getting a little goofy by the end! :D )

PIXIE DUST ALERT!!!!!!! :pixiedust:

After lunch everyone was feeling pretty tired, so we decided to head back to the hotel. Our limo time was up, so we had to take the monorail to the Magic Kingdom, and then catch a bus to the French Quarter.

Walking upstairs to the monorail (the bustle looks a little screwy, because someone stepped on my dress when we were leaving the restaurant and one of the bustle points ripped out. I didn't really care by then, because I was about to take it off anyways. The dress itself was fine.)
WalkingAway.jpg

Waiting for the monorail
Monorail.jpg

Taking the monorail wound up being a really awesome experience, because when we got to the entrance of the monorail, one of the cast members (I think her name might have been Donna), started talking to us. She asked if it was our wedding day and when I told her yes, she quick took me by the arm and lead us to the front of the monorail! The whole way up she was saying how it was such a special day because it was our wedding day and we needed to do something special to celebrate! We were only allowed to have four people up front, so DH, one of his brothers, MOH, and I rode in the very front of the monorail with the conductor!!! It was so cool!
Monorail2.jpg

Monorail3.jpg

After we arrived at the Magic Kingdom (the monorail ride seemed so short!), we walked down the ramp to the buses and I totally felt like a princess! Everyone kept watching us and congratulating us and saying how beautiful my dress was. I loved it! :)

Riding the bus back to POFQ
Bus.jpg

When we got back to the resort, Timmy and I went to the front desk to pick up our cake. The cast member brought it out from the refrigerator in the back. As we turned to walk away, one person at the check-in desk started clapping and looked around at everyone else like "COME ON!!". Soon the whole room was clapping and cheering for us at the top of their lungs!! It was like we were celebrities or something! One of the greatest parts of having a Disney wedding was feeling like a celebrity for a day and hearing all day long how wonderful everyone looked and having so many people wishing us a happy life together. It was so amazing!

Once we had our cake, we said goodbye to my aunt (everyone else had already headed off to their rooms) and Timmy carried me over the threshold to our room!
Threshold.jpg

My dress really was pretty comfortable, but it still felt kind of good to get out of it, since it was starting to get pretty hot out and I was feeling overheated. I was very glad that I decided to wear flip flops though, because my feet did not bother me once during the whole day. And if they hurt, it would have been a really big problem with all of the pictures Randy was taking, like having us leap up into the air while we were on the boardwalk. That would have been nearly impossible in heels! Even with the flip flops I managed to trip a couple of times, since there was so much dress surrounding me. Thankfully, I didn’t trip around Randy, so it's not captured forever on film!

Up next: Our wedding night Wishes fireworks cruise!!!

:cheer2: YAY for pixie dust! :cheer2: that's so neat that you got to ride in the front of the monorail! Also, I love the pic of him carrying you over the threshold! Great update Liz! :goodvibes

Thanks for the closeup of your bouquet inspiration shot; I can't wait to see yours!

It looks like the lunch at the GF cafe was a lot of fun, sounds like the guys really had a good time. I love the shots on the monorail; what a great treat! The picture of you being carried over the threshold is really sweet too. It is so neat having people give you those little moments of extra magic like when you were at the hotel; we had a couple of those moments and it really makes you feel like a celebrity :cool1:
