*~*Lizby's Fairy Tale Wedding PJ/TR*~* - Day Seven FINALLY

I was able to take pics and my dress and ridiciously expensive veil are over on the wedding dress board. Just thought i'd let you konw. BTW I can't wait to hear more wedding details :surfweb:

Thanks for the heads up! I left you some love over on the dress thread :) Not really any new details to report, except that I started working on our vows (which still need some work.) Oh, and I am going for my first dress fitting on March 25!

How are those vows coming and how was your first dress fitting? That must have been exciting!

Awww, thanks for remembering! Welllll...I haven't actually even looked at the vows since the day I started them. I still have to show them to DF, although he liked the sound of them. I'll probably wait until the wedding is closer and look over them again.

The dress fitting was alright. I wasn't really impressed with the lady that did it at David's Bridal. She was very abrupt and hardly spoke english. I guess from what I read on the DISboards, I expected it to be a sort of "friendlier" experience, where she might show me a couple choices for the bustle or something. She basically just jabbed a bunch of pins in the dress, said "here's your bustle" and told me to change out of it. I didn't really mind the way it turned out, but I would have liked to see another option or two. Plus I don't get to pick it up for TWO MONTHS, since they can only do the second fitting on a Wednesday or Friday during the day (when I'll be working), so I had to wheedle a Wed. at 6:00 out of her, but it's not until May 21. So anyways, here's a pic of what the bustle will look like (she told me it will be more symmetrical when it's finished.)

Don't you just LOVE the glamorous background of the alterations department?!? :lmao: It was almost a little creepy back there, especially when someone started pounding on the outside of that door while I was changing out of my dress! :scared1:

In other news, I think I finally found THE hairstyle I want to have! I found it in Bridal Star Hairstyles magazine, which had a ton of great pictures of different options for hairstyles. Here it is:
Hair-FINAL.jpg

I'm probably going to have my tiara in the front with the little red flowers I bought scattered throughout the back. Do you think that will be too much?

OoO...I love the hair! Very pretty and I don't think it will be too much at all. I have NO idea what I am going to do with my hair. What kind of magazine did you find that in and where did you get it? I need some inspiration. Also you bustle is very nice. Did she teach you how do do and undo it? Everything is coming together nicely! :woohoo:

The magazine is called "Bridal Star Hairstyles" and I bought it at CVS about a week ago. It's probably still available. No, she didn't teach me how to do/undo the bustle, since it was just pinned for now. I assume she'll do that at the second fitting. Do you have a PJ, Leah?

Oh, Liz, your gown is gorgeous! What I can see of the back, anyway! ;) And that hairstyle is exactly what I have been looking for -- something very loose and romantic with lots of pieces to frame my (very round) face! Thank you for sharing. :goodvibes

Wow, thanks so much, Cam!!! :eeyore: Sometimes I question whether there is one I would like better because there are SO many out there, but each time I put it on, I know it is perfect for me :) There are other pictures of the front on the first page of my PJ. I am glad I was able to help with the hairstyle! It is exactly what I have been looking for too, but have been unable to find until now.

I love your hairstyle you chose,,,

Thank you very much! :goodvibes

I did start one. Havn't gotten very far though. I've been busy with my last month and a half of nursing school for this year. Can't wait to be done next May just in time for the wedding (not at disney anymore :sad2: ) but I am ok with it. I will have to find my PJ one of these days and update it and put a link in my siggie.

Your dress is beautiful and I really like the hair. Updo for dramatic but not stiff! Good luck on the rest of your planning!

OK Liz...
The link to my PJ is in my siggie. However I don't how to personalize it so that It says "my PJ" or whatever...can you help me?
PM me if you don't want to occupy your PJ

After days and days of drama waiting for Disney to finally post the availability of the Fourth of July pontoon boat rentals, WE FINALLY GOT ONE!!!!!!!!! We started calling Saturday (our 90 day mark) and until Thursday they kept saying they weren't taking bookings yet for some unknown reason. We are going out on Bay Lake for the double fireworks show at Magic Kingdom to finish off our wedding day!!! :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: There are only eight of us, so I thought a dessert party might be a little much for so few people and the pontoon boat will be perfect. The only snag was we wound up paying about DOUBLE of what a regular pontoon boat costs, because it's on the Fourth of July! :scared1:  :faint: I wish we had a little warning that the prices skyrocket so much on holidays. But at least we got the boat!!!! I am SOOOO excited! I've never seen a pontoon boat before, so here's a pic for those of you who haven't either:

I am so happy because we finally took care of a major thing last night: the clothes for DF and his brothers (best men)! We went to Burlington Coat Factory and bought them each tux pants, a tux shirt, and black bowties. I had already bought black suspenders off ebay for the two best men for $5 each. Guess what the GRAND TOTAL was to fully dress the three guys??? $175! :yay: We couldn't have even rented two tuxes for that amount! They also look really sharp in their clothes. Here's a pic of one of the best men in his outfit (it needs to be ironed obviously, but you get the idea):

I think he looks great! DF will have pretty much the same outfit, except his suspenders will be burgundy to match the detailing on my dress.

Morning Liz,

Love the veil and the dress and the guys are going to look great. That is so smart for a July wedding in Florida. Lucky you getting a pontoon boat for July 4th. We were in WDW last July 4th week and the fireworks at MK were just wonderful.

I also love the way your flipflops came out. I am planning on doing something similar and I wanted to ask you how you put the crystals on the flipflops. I would imagine you put them on with glue but I just want to make sure they stay on. I am going to wear regular shoes to our ceremony and reception but I want to have these along just incase. I am also going to make them for my bridesmaids.

Thanks,
Linda

Thanks for the kind words, Linda! Yes, I did put the crystals on the flip flops with glue. I used Jewel Bond and they seem to be on there pretty strong. I'm not worried about them falling off at all. I also bought one of those sticks to help put them on that looks like a giant q-tip. The stick part was blue and had a point at one end (which was very helpful for pressing them down and getting them in just the right place) and at the other end was a ball of semi-sticky stuff that helped to pick the crystals up and place them where I wanted them. Good luck with your flip flops! I'm sure they will be great! :goodvibes

I love your ideas. How much were the flowers you chose? We are having a mini breakdown about spending a crazy amount (we have 5 bridesmaids) so Im a bit worried!!
