*~*Lizby's Fairy Tale Wedding PJ/TR*~* - Day Seven FINALLY

I was a little bit busy tonight Mickey-izing the shoes I am going to wear for our wedding! :yay: I got the idea from Caryn (thanks again Caryn!!! ) and I am really happy with the way they turned out. I am also going to do the same thing to MOH's shoes, but she hasn't bought them yet. I'll post pics of them later on... In the meantime, here's mine!

Since I was already on a roll after finishing the hidden mickeys on my shoes, I decided to do my veil too! I used Swarovski flatback crystals in Crystal Moonlight. I got the idea for this from Sandy (love2b@disney) --Thanks Sandy! However, I glued mine on using FabriTac instead of sewing them, because I knew I would never have the patience to sew all of them on. :scared1: Sorry the pics aren't the best...

Your shoes and veil are sooo cute! I love hidden mickey ideas!!!!! Thanks so much for sharing them! They came out great!

I Love the hidden Mickeys! I am having my FMIL add them to me veil!

Love the shoes and veil! I'm planning to do the same to my flip flops and veil. I'm actually going to go pick up the rhinestones after work today.

Where did you get your veil? Its a single layer right?

Thanks! I got my veil at David's Bridal. Yes, it is a single layer...I wanted a single layer because the tiered ones kind of covered a lot of the detail on the back of my dress, which I didn't like. Honestly, looking back it was kind of a rip-off since I paid like $60 (and that was with the discount b/c I bought my dress there! :scared1: ) for a little tulle and a tiny bit of beading around the edges. I know there are a lot of veils that are a LOT more money than mine, but if I had to do it again, I probably would have looked on e-Bay or tried to make it. You and Goldeelox HAVE to post pics when you finish!!! :)

I agree, I like the single layer veil better because I plan I keeping my veil on the day and if it had too many layers, it would just annoy me.

I'm going to glue my rhinestones on too because I really don't have the patience to sew on each individual rhinestone. I give Sandy a lot of credit! :thumbsup2 I haven't purchased my veil yet, but I think it will try ebay. Thanks for the tip Liz!

There is no way that there is any reason to charge brides so much money for veils. They just know they have you that when you have on "the dress" they can just slap an expensive veil on your head to complete the look and then it becomes a must have! They certainly got me. I thought my dress was very reasonalbe at just over $700 but then the veil that looks oh so perfect was $225 :scared1:
Eh I guess as they say it...its a hard price to pay to be a princess for a day :bride:

I completely agree with you. Did you buy the veil that went with your dress? I am sure it is beautiful :lovestruc I wonder if anyone has come up with any creative ideas about what to do with the veil AFTER the wedding so the $$$ doesn't go to waste.
