Just curious. I know that Imaginum did not get a contract renewal. Can anyone tell me about what, if anything, replaced them?

Ditto! I hadn't heard that the living statues are gone. That is too bad we had a great time watching this last visit. They will be missed

The Living Statues are now in Busch Gardens. Nothing has replaced them as of yet.

Yes they are gone :( we looked again this weekend just to make sure but no such luck. I dont know what Disney is thinking with some of these cut backs.

This is terrible, my mom and I loved watching them never had the chance to interact but it was so much fun to watch,
why would they get rid of something so popular, Ive always seen a huge crowd when their out.

We missed them by about two weeks when we went in mid-March. I noticed they were no longer on Steve Soares site the week before we left, and when we got back, I posted this thread.

It does appear that they were replaced though, with an "international interactive juggler" named Sergio, who started around the same time the statues stopped.

We liked the statues because they were unique entertainment, and as much fun as Sergio might be, I'd prefer something that is more unusual. Disney ought to be doing entertainment that you can't get somewhere else.

I started a thread a while back about it and encouraged people to e mail Disney to voice our displeasure. I never heard back from Disney. I guess it is too late now that they have been snatched up by another park. I really hate it. I wish Disney would try to hold on to the great unique entertainment like that. Maybe some day they will be back. I know others posted something about keeping things fresh, but I never tired of them because it was different every time.:sad1:

OMG! They're gone?!?!?  That stinks! I finally saw them last year and really wanted to see them again this year.

They're gone!!! I've always liked seeing them. Hopefully, one day, they'll be back...

We saw Sergio when we were there in April. He was funny as far as mime jugglers go. He certainly was not as unique as the living statues. :sad2:

I do have pics of him on OFoto, but I don't know how to tell you how to access them. Anyone know?

Like a lot of things at WDW, they were there under a contract that expired. Disney probabbly tried to cut the cost at renewal. :wizard:

Sergio, alas, is NOT new. We saw him in 2003. He had an entertaining show, but not as good as Imaginum or Le Mime Roland.

Ok, I had read that he had been there before, but I had thought it was a bit longer ago, like 2000 or 2001 that he was there before. I hadn't seen his name on the Steve Soares site since then. While I wouldn't bet my LIFE on it, I don't think he was there in 2004.

Sorry to hear that they've moved on. How long were they there, though? For a venue that was designed to have entertainment changed out each season, to keep the park vibrant, they were there an awfully long time. As much as I love Off-Kilter and the British Invasion, I seems a little strange that they're still there after so much time. I'd prefer that Disney focus a bit more on getting different entertainment in each year, even when it means that something I liked isn't there anymore.
