Im currious, whats on your living room walls? Mine have a painting of a local beach, 35 family photos, a framed poster on NYC and a art peice my family made.

Right now almost nothing :( This is our first apartment so we are still working on the whole decorating thing. We have a puzzle of Mickey, made up of tons of movie stills that I want to glue together and put in a frame, but right now its just a dream.

We are moving, so not much. Had to take all "personal" pictures down for showings :(
Clock over fireplace, etched octagonal mirror and Thomas Kincaide painting are all for now.

Here's one picture of my favorite thing on our walls, although it's a little hard to see because it's so dark..

I got it from Target when they had their "World Bazaar" thing a couple years back. It's a piece of black canvas with a huge cream-ish colored flower. I love it!

I also have this - except in black/white in a black frame:

It's a print by Steven N. Meyers - he does x-ray photography of flowers, and I think all his stuff is really neat.

I also have a metal cross I got from Pier 1, and a big clock. I asked for some shelves and cube shelving for Christmas, so hopefully those will be up on the wall shortly, too. :thumbsup2

I have a Monet print on the wall above the TV, and on the wall above the couch, 3 framed Foo Fighters concert posters. One of the other walls is all glass (door onto the deck) and the other leads into the kitchen and dining room, so no room to hang anything.

I have a large living room so there's a lot of stuff on my walls:

2 Antique Mirrors - one Empire, one Victorian on opposite ends of the living room. The victorian has two antique cake plates hanging on either side.

6 pictures, 4 of my kids and 1 of DB & SIL at their wedding and the last of DH as a child with his brother and sister.

A large painting of an abandoned farm that hangs over my mantel - which has lots of stuff on it.

Two prints

An abstract curio box with 4 lenox china animal figurines, an antique music box, our wedding cake topper (lladro), a mini-bicycle and som antique glass ware.

It sounds like a lot I know but my living room is 28 x 15. I also have a 10 foot long window (argh try finding a curtain rod for that ) and another window and three doorways.

My living room is small, and my husband's outrageously large TV takes up most of one wall.

One of the other walls has a series of 4 framed photos of my girls that I had taken about 5 years ago. They are old fashioned pictures, in sepia-tones, of the girls in old-fashioned dresses, with old-looking props like dolls and buggies, hats, etc. My fav is one of my DD6 who was one at the time. She is sitting in a large hatbox, and she has her little bare feet propped up, toes sticking out of the box.

The other wall has a picture that my mom cross-stiched for me, and a couple of decorative greenery pieces that I thought matched the picture.

All of my kids' school pictures/baby pictures and family pictures run up and down my long hallway.

My set of 4 WDW posters (this is NOT my auction, just the pics for illustrative purposes) hangs above my computer desk. ::wizard:

We have a picture of a family reunion from 1911 when my family first immigrated here from Germany, two Anne Geddes Christmas Prints, a quilted wall hanging my mom made when my dad had his heart surgery 8 years ago and a small shelf that has my collection of Easter Eggs on it.

Not too much yet. We just moved into our first house a few weeks ago and haven't had a chance to put up much yet.

On the short wall when you first walk into our place, we have all our Disney pictures. We even have a frame where the matte is cut out to spell DISNEY that we've filled with pictures from out past vacations.

One tiny wall on the other side of that, has a big picture frame filled with pictures from our Universal vacation this past year.

The only other thing on our wall right now is a black wrought iron clock. It was my parents from when they first got married. When they divorced and sold the house, it was the only thing I took from the house. It hasn't worked in over 30 years but it goes with me wherever I happen to be living.

My living room has a Sheila Wolk print.

Here is a closeup of what the print looks like (only mine doesn't have the copyright statement across it). I have it because the fairy in the print looks a lot like my DD.

Easy-go to the lumberyard and buy some closet polling, paint or stain to match. They will even cut it to fit. You can buy some finials to go on the ends too. Otherwise they make a device that you put between two metal rods to extend them. It isn't very stable so make sure you set it up so it is resting on a bracket. I had the same issue in our old house and did the metal rod extender there and in another house I needed a longer rod and used the painted closet polling (I painted it with a gold metallic paint to match the curtains I used).

In our living room we have one large painting over one of the couches-I call it Picasso Violins-kind of a funky/cubish deal, over the other couch we have some metal things with leaves, at the end of another wall we have a John Green commissioned print of the Cathedral we used to attend (it was a fundraiser for the church for the upkeep). Over the fireplace we have a large, round clock.

A few family photos, a couple cross stitch pictures my MIL made for us, a couple knick knack shelves, a picture of a cabin with a mailbox in the foreground with our last name painted on it (got it at Dollywood), a schoolhouse clock, and a couple other decorative pieces.

In our formal living room (vs the family room) we have a largish landscape oil painting, an oil painting of two guinea pigs (I love it - my mother hates it and I think I leave it up partly to bug her), a large portrait (photograph) of our two sons, and a print of flowers. Oh, and going into the entry way there's a dulcimer hanging on the wall.

All pictures of my family through the years at Disney World, mostly ride pics.
