Living in FL for 6+ mths, qualify for FL discounts?

My DH is doing contract work in FL for 6+ mths. Can he qualify for the FL discounts?

Just taking a stab at it, but it would probably be the same requirements necessary to obtain a Florida residents ID from the state of DMV. You have to show a Florida ID when you check in for the discount - as as long as you can get the ID it should be okay, but again I'm not sure what the requirements are for the ID.

I live 3/4 of the year in my NJ home and the rest of the year at my FL home and I have a NJ driver's license that is good for driving anywhere and a FL Only drivers license that is only good for driving in the state of FL. With my FL driver's license I qualify for FL residents discounts which are wonderful. I did have to show the deed and utilities bills to my FL home though to get the FL driver's license. I am not sure about a FL ID, but if you call the driver's license office I am sure they can tell you. Good luck!

As a travel agent in So. Fla, we get this question a lot from our northern snowbird friends. Disney will accept many things as Resident ID. I always double check for my clients if they inquire about a specific form, but it seems that pretty much anything goes. If you have a lease in your name with a FL address, a utility bill, FL issued ID card, and obviously a driver's license will work as well. These are the things I have called about and told will work for FL RES ID. The rates are fabulous! If you can, book the rate if it's available. If you do not have the right ID, they can rebook you at the next best rate, but if the rate sells out while you are checking, it's gone.

If you have anything 'official' that has a Florida address and your name on it (lease, utility bill, etc) then you Qualify for florida discounts!!!

Case in point - my friend moved to Florida from Georgia but did not get a new drivers licence yet. We brought a copy of her apt. lease and get her a Florida Resident Seasonal Pass. No problems!

You move here and the next day get Fl. resident deals. So long as you have something 'official' with name and Fl. address on it.
