Hello all! I hope I'm not late to the party. I just signed up for the FE list and I thought I'd pop in and say hello. I'm Darcie and {some of} my family will be sailing with you fine folks during this cruise. It will be my DH, Jeff, myself and our DS, Jayce (5). We're from Tucson, Arizona. I'm also a member of the WDW Moms panel and I blog at such the spot (dot) com. In fact, I recently posted the second installment of a trip report on our May 28th, 2012 cruise to Alaska aboard the Wonder.

Hi Everyone,

I am Nicole and will be traveling with DH, Josh and DS, Ari who will be 4.5 at the time of the cruise. We will be traveling with our neighbors Frances and DH Charles, and their 2 DD's Ilana (5.5 at time of cruise) and Sophia (2.5 at time of cruise). Our stateroom is 7188. I don't remember their stateroom number but they will be staying right across the hall from us. We are doing the early dining.

This is the first cruise for us and the 2nd cruise for our neighbors, but their first Disney Cruise. We are not celebrating anything in particular. We just wanted to take a fun vacation with our neighbors and kids who love playing together. We thought it would be the ultimate memory for them.

We are driving in all together from Memphis, TN area in our neighbors' SUV. We will be looking for a hotel in the port canaveral area if anyone has some good recommendations?

We are excited to meet everyone and can't wait for the cruise!

I looked thru about 10 pages after this post and did not see a response to your question. We stay at the Country Inn and Suites on Astronaut Blvd in Port Canaveral. They have a cruise package which includes shuttle to and from port and parking while you are on the cruise. It also includes breakfast on the day in leave for the cruise. It is pretty reasonable. They also had hot cookies in the lobby the night we arrived. Not sure if this a something they do all of the time, but it was when we got there. Hope this helps. We're from Middle TN. Welcome aboard.

DH and I live in New York and DD, DSIL and DGD's live in Florida. We just added ourselves to the FE list. I just made final payment. We will be staying pre-cruise at the Residence Inn Cape Canaveral Cocoa Beach. I'm so excited about our cruise!! I can hardly wait!!

I think starting a kids cruise meet thread would be great!! My DGD(7) is a little shy at first. She never wants to go to the kids's club until she makes a couple of friends. Unfortunately this usually happens near the end of the cruise. Once she has a couple of friends, she enjoys going to the kid's club.

Thank you so much for the fe list. I'm sure that everyone appreciates the work that you are putting into this. You might want to have people put down male or female for the children. Some names could be used for both - gets a little confusing.
Do you think that some might think they are already on the list because they are on the first list?

The Kuehn Family consists of 3 . DH Jack, DW Paddie & our DD Rose, is the (responsible) adult in our family. I don't know about anybody else, but I am getting more and more EXCITED about this upcoming cruise, with each passing day. Only 108 more days left!

I visited your blog and I'm impressed.
I especially liked your suggestions for FE exchange gifts. I wish that I could come up with some equally ingenious ideas, but alas, I am not so gifted. I may have to resort to copying a couple of yours.

Hi everyone ! I'm Maria. Just booked this cruise 3 weeks ago---just hubby (Rob) and I (late 40's). Kids are all in college or beyond (ages 19, 21 and 25) so they will not be able to join us though they are way jealous ! We are cruising with another couple in same situation with older kids.
This will be our 5th Disney cruise ! We are main dining. I have a cat 6B (GTY) booked. So according to DCL site, we'll be on either 5th, 6th or 7th deck. Just not sure yet and our cabin should be all the way aft. I have a whitewall verandah which I've never seen except for maybe 2 pics I found online. But we are excited.
I just applied to the website for our cruise as well as requested a join to the FB page. I have never done a FE despite this being my 5th cruise but I would like to give it a try. I have read the first 10 pages of this thread and will definitely try to read the rest when I get more time. Looking forward to getting to meet some of you and hoping for a fantastic voyage aboard the Fantasy !!!!

I see ucallmetink's update. Also, I see a new entry from Tinkerbell0614 (Happy Flag Day, btw), did you change your stateroom number? I had another entry for you with the # 10592. I'll get an update posted this weekend. I have a busy one too. Driving down to Columbia, MD to take my daughter to see the Beach Boys at the Merriweather Pavilion. I'm staying overnight, so I have to log in after the concert to take care of booking stuff for the cruise. Then I have to get up bright and early at 5:00 to drive home in time for my son's game in CT. Then after the game, we have to book to make it back to NJ for my other daughter's concert. I'm going to be exhausted. What we do for our kids.

I had a pleasant surprise this morning. I lost track of the Magic's schedule, I happened to drive into the city today and coming down the West Side Highway, what surprise greeted me as I approached 56th Street? The familiar twin stacks of the Disney Magic!

Three months cannot pass by fast enough.

Yep, saw your post. I'm like you, I do try to hit the fitness center at least on sea days to alleviate the guilt of what I eat during meal times.

I see your doing pretty much what we're doing pre and post cruise. We're also coming in the Thursday night before and staying until the 9th afterwards. I waitlisted for club level at AKL, but now that I think about it, I may cancel that since we'll be spending most of our time at EPCOT for the F&W.

i was just checking my reservation online and having everything saved except for the cabanas. I cannot figure out where you go to reserve a cabana. They are not listed under Castaway Cay excursions. Does anybody know?

Just did all my reservations and I got everything I wanted! There was even a cabana on Serenity Bay, #20. I booked Remy for Pirate night, Palo brunch the first sea day and the Chacchoben Ruins, adult departure. Can't believe how easy it was. The last time I did this, I remember it being such a hassle. This time it was so easy.

The cabanas are under My Cruise Activities.

I'm so excited!! I was just able to book Cabana #3!! I was sure they would all be gone. Cabana #6 was also available.
