Livin on a Fantasy!! September 29, 2012 Disney Fantasy

I have an Abby too. My Abby will be 6 at the end of October and my oldest daughter Samantha turns 9. October 8. Lots of girls on board...we'll have to meet so they can play together!!!

So excited to have found this post! We just switched from a 3 day to this 7 day on the Fantasy and we couldn't be more excited! We have done Disney World twice in the past and we wanted to try something a little different. We had planned on doing WDW for 3 nts and then the 3 nt cruise on the Dream but...last minute (sort of) we decided to change things up.

So, to introduce ourselves to the group - my husband and I (Casey (35) and Cameron (37) have been married for 13 yrs. We were highschool sweethearts and will have been together for 20 YEARS in September! Yeah, crazy, I know!

Our kids:

Alex (11) is going into jr high this year, plays hockey for Wyandotte Warriors, loves dogs, popcorn and all things Disney

Abby Kate (turns 9 in Sept) going into 4th grade, 1st yr cheering for Wyandotte Indians - Freshman, loves animals (wants to be a vet for Disney's Animal Kingdom someday), loves AG dolls & her My Disney Doll - and all things Disney.

The other two:
We have 2 GIANT dogs Moses (Lab) and Rufus (English Mastiff) that will be staying home with our incredible baby-sitter/housesitter.

That's us! We're really looking forward to this vacation - it'll be our first time cruising and we're doing it right - DISNEY!!!

I don't see my name on the list and I filled out the form maybe a week ago ? :sad1:

The list updates take a while. Gometro, our volunteer coordinater :wizard: has a very busy schedule, running all over the country to perform his fatherly duties, such as attending kid's functions :grouphug:
I'm sure we will all include you :thumbsup2.
This is going to be such an awesome vacation!:mickeyjum

Wow, lots of new people! Welcome aboard everyone.

Lorelei528, you're next door to my daughter. I'm nearby, on the starboard side.

:welcome: to all the new comers.

Just booked our cruise today. Can I join the facebook page? We are a family of four. ...2 DD ages 8 and 5. Anyone looking to share a cabana on CC...would be willing to share the cost.

Hi Jonisane, My younger DD will turn 9 nine days before the cruise and is looking forward to making some new cruise friends.

I have an Abby that will turn 9 just before we leave for the cruise! She will be thrilled to get to meet new friends on board!

Hi Casey, I have 2 girls who will turn 12 and 9 just before the cruise. They are both looking forward to making some new friends. Not to be rude, but is Alex a boy or girl? My oldest, Cassidy is anxious to find some girls her age. I am guessing boy based on the activities. My youngest, Courtney turns 9 on September 20, and loves American Girl too. When is Abby Kate's birthday?

For all those with children, I started a meet thread for the kids to get to know each other a bit before the cruise. Here is the link

Actually, i wish that were the excuse, but the list I posted last night is the latest and I double-checked and do not see Mia's entry. Sorry to be a pain, but can you please re-enter your info? Make sure you use the link I posted yesterday, not the one in the first post of this thread. Thanks.

Alex is all boy! :cool1: Sounds like there's going to be a lot of kids - lots of opportunity for new friends! I'm getting so excited!!! Bought a really cute new bag from 31 last night for the trip - it expands for all the goodies I pick up in Cozumel!

My name wasn't on there either...I guess I should re-enter my info too?

Thanks for the updated list, gometros! It looks like 11 participating FE cabins right now? Have we agreed upon a cut-off date?

Less than 100 days now! I am twiddling my thumbs until July 1, when we get to book everything! :cool1:

There are 17 participating FE cabins so far. If I counted right so far there are 33 adults, 4 teens and 17 children.

Today, I started on my FE gifts. I am really looking forward to sailing on the Fantasy. Only 14 more weeks!! I can hardly wait!!

Hi gometros...I resubmitted my info using the new link. I am interested in the FE though I've never done it and not 100% sure what it is. From the little I know, it looks fun. We are traveling with friends of ours (non DIS'ers), so I wasn't sure if they'd want to link up with you my DIS friends. I'll ask them about it though. Our kids are older (teens to mid 20's) and can't go because of college schedules. But we are way excited to having a couples-only cruise !

I looked thru about 10 pages after this post and did not see a response to your question. We stay at the Country Inn and Suites on Astronaut Blvd in Port Canaveral. They have a cruise package which includes shuttle to and from port and parking while you are on the cruise. It also includes breakfast on the day in leave for the cruise. It is pretty reasonable. They also had hot cookies in the lobby the night we arrived. Not sure if this a something they do all of the time, but it was when we got there. Hope this helps. We're from Middle TN. Welcome aboard.
Linda

Thanks Linda for the information. We are actually going to stay in orlando the night before with my parents. They live in south florida and are driving up thursday night and we are going to go to sea world on friday and then stay with them in the hotel friday night and drive over to port canaveral in our car.

yogi and youcancallmetink, it looks like our boys are pretty close in age to each other. Hopefully we can get them together to play while on the ship. What excursions are you planning? :confused3

We want to do the pirate excursion in grand cayman pirate:, and xel-ha in cozumel. I think we are just going to stay on the ship in costa maya and a variety of activities on castaway cay

Ari is so excited about going on "the mickey boat" and keeps asking if it is time to go yet :rotfl2:

how does the mnsshp work? we are considering doing that on Friday night before the cruise. Can someone explain how the tickets work. Do you have to buy mk and party tickets or just party tickets? when can you get into the park? can you ride the rides or are the shut down? :confused3

I am totally clueless about this event but I think my son would love it:love:
