Hi everyone!

I just signed up for the FE list so I thought I'd stop by this thread and say hi and introduce myself!

My name is Lindsay! My fiancé Chris and I booked this cruise for our honeymoon! Not only is it our first time on a DCL cruise, but it's our first cruise ever!!!!! I am so excited!!!!

A little bit about us... our wedding is September 22nd. So one week before our cruise! We live in Cary, NC... which is where we're getting married. I'm 26 and he's 27. He's a computer programmer. I currently work at a doggie daycare, but after the wedding I'm going to school to become a phlebotomist. We've been dating for 6 years, and we've lived together for the past 2 years. We went to the same high school and were in the same graduating class, but we never met each other! We didn't meet until college and started dating shortly after! We have 3 dogs. Our dog Rosie (Manchester Terrier mix) is my Maid Of Honor and our dogs Fernando (Pug) and Ray Ray (Chihuahua) are co-best men in the wedding! In 2009, Chris took me to WDW for the very first time, and I've been hooked ever since!

Welcome to the group Lindsay and Chris, the 22nd is my parents anniversary. I know what you mean about being hooked on Disney, I liked it so much I moved from NY to work there almost 17 years ago.

We are a family of 3. Me Dh and DS(10). We don't want to participate in the FE but i would like to have my son meet some kids in his age group. Would there be any interest in starting a kids cruise meet thread?

Welcome aboard I have 2 girls, they will be 12 and 9 when we sail and they would love a kids meet thread. My only thought is that they group seems to be pretty quiet so I don't know how much traffic it would get.

Where is everybody? This groups has been so quiet lately. The cruise is just 110 days away. I know the excitement is building in our house.

Okay, so Friday night is the big night for some of us to begin making reservations for the cruise. My question is what order to go in? I mean some things are more popular than others (i.e. the Cabanas). I was thinking of this order of priority:

1) Cabanas
2) Remy
3) Palo brunch
4) Excursions

What do you all think?

I think you've got it right on what things will be more popular than others. I'm hoping they have the Remy Lunch that someone had mentioned in the Trip Report area. I would totally go for that

Yeah, it seemed like a lot more for a while there.

I'll probably have 2 more rooms to add to the FE exchange. My sister probably for sure, and my mom hasn't said no...so I'm still working on her.

I think we've lost people along the way. I know Michelle switched cruises. I forget who else did.

I get the feeling that our cruise isn't going to be a full cruise anyway and maybe our small group is indicative of that. The end of September is an odd time for families with kids, since I believe it's too early for schools that have a break in October and many states have just started school post Labor Day.

As far as Friday goes, I paid up the beginning of May to take advantage of the Disney VISA premier card deal. I had to do it within my three months to get the quintuple points. I think I'm going to reserve a cabana, but I'm not sure in the end it's worth it for Judy and I. If I find anybody who can put up with me for a day , I'm hoping to split it

Thank you so much for the fe list. I'm sure that everyone appreciates the work that you are putting into this. You might want to have people put down male or female for the children. Some names could be used for both - gets a little confusing.
Do you think that some might think they are already on the list because they are on the first list?
