We are on deck 6 it looks like. Room 6668.

I have to switch our room. Initially they put us in a 9A and it's a corner room. I like it has extra space but after researching our room, I don't like that that our porthole seems slanted and I would have to get on my knees to see it.. I upgraded to caty 8D and they gave me rm #6666... I think its connecting to urs Erin. I don't like that all the rooms are connecting. Nothing against any neighbors , I just hate that someone can open their door and knock on mine.. I just had a bad experience with an uncontrolled child in the next room at a hotel before and now I never know what I will get So Erin I guess I am your neighbor.....are your kids early to bed and quiet at night?? Well off to laundry and play on the computer...I am multi-talented
BTW---I love the name of your tip report...I am gonna read Dave Ramsey's book. Maybe I will have a richer cruise...LOL

Last cruise I made a web page and kept track of info., FE lists, SM, allergies for FE gifts, celebrations, etc. I will do this if no-one else wants to take the time to do this...otherwise let me know and if someone wants it they can do it.

That is so funny. That big huge ship and like 5 people on this thread and we are next door neighbors. Well howdy! My kids sleep like rocks in their own beds and haven't been in a hotel since summer. They can be wound up the first night anywhere but then settle in. But this is 17 months from now so I am sure they will be better. My DS's are still babies and will be full fledged kids by then. But for sure we will keep them away from the door. In fact even though we "know" you I think we should just visit via front door only! We are huge Dave Ramsey fans. We have paid off almost all debt. BTW-We don't go on this cruise unless at least one more large student loan gets paid off. Hopefully two! We want to scream "I'm Debt Free" at the top of our lungs from the deck of the ship on his radio show. With hard work and lots of determination we will do it!

This sounds awesome. Prior to the Dis I thought a cruise was just something you booked and showed up for. I had no idea how much work it is. I'm kidding of course. I think you would be perfect for this job and thank you for offering. Just please dumb it down for some of us first time DCLers. I have no idea what FE is!

FE=Fish extender. On the outside of the rooms their is a fish...I think starfish on the newer ships and if you wanna to partake you hang a Fish extender(will post pic soon) from it or a bag of some sort. Then you buy, make,whatever little gifts for your DIS friends in ur thread. In 2009 I made keychains, personalized bracelets for the girls and sports necklaces for the boys as well as a goodie bag for each kid. Whatever you decide is appreciated and everyone delivers their gifts. then daily when you come back their are goodies waiting outside ur room in ur Fish extender. It is fun. I never knew about it till my 3rd Disney cruise. My kids LOVED it! It takes a an hr or 2 to deliver depending how many rooms participate, but it is fun. I have already have my ideas of what I am making. I may do more in we have a small FE group. I love making things for this! Not everyone joins, it's just person preference. And yes their is alot of work being the person keeping track of everything but I would like to think my 2009 cruisemates would say I did a good job.

Thanks, miss ya all too!! I really think we are gonna have a nice cruise bunch here. I have too say I had an awesome bunch in 2009 and still friends with a bunch but you guys seem fun as well.

Today I volunteered at church, went to church and then back to church for our young people's testimonies and baptisms. It was a joyful day! Then we cleaned out our garage. Today was 80*...man it was beautiful!! Not lasting long...gonna be 58*-65* the next week and rain. Well it's not snow so I can't complain.
Tomorrow my friend is coming over to teach me to sew. I am making the girls custom boutique outfits for our trip to WDW in Sept. I hope its not a hard thing to learn!! I am so excited. I will surely share once I have made something!!! Well off to fold laundry, then shower and then stay up ironing the fabric for tomorrow!! TTFN (ta ta for now)

Hi everyone!
My name is Erin and we are so excited that we were able to book today during all of the madness. This will be our first Disney Cruise and our second cruise (kids first). My amazing TA is at DL for the first time this week doing tons and tons of training with a bunch of other TAs. I cannot believe that they could have a big Disney training this week. Disney's fault, not hers but anyway despite pulling her out of important meetings several times we are booked and thrilled.

My siggy says my kids ages now, but on board Abby will also be 8 and she will be thrilled to have two and counting friends to become inseparable from. If anyone has FaceTime they can chat with us as we get closer. We also have two little boys who will be 4 and 3 then. Colin turns 3 the day before we board. His birthday will be spent either driving down or maybe at Kennedy if we can swing it. I am less worried about them because they are boys and will have each other.

So we will still celebrate Colin's b-day albeit a day late and we will also be celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary while on board. We took a Western Cruise on NCL for our honeymoon so we are so excited to go back to the same places. Lots of nostalgia but kicked up because it is Disney! And Castaway Cay will be all new to us of course. So there you have us. Nice to meet you all!!

We have 2 girls who will be 6 and 8 when we cruise. We aren't celebrating anything other than fall break! Can anyone tell me what the weather is like in the Caribbean during the fall? We have only cruised during the spring before.

It looks like the girls are already taking over this thread The 6-9 age range seems to be popular...I see good friendships brewing aboard the Fantasy and maybe before hand. I have cruised once in Feb and 3 times this exact time. We love end of Sept / 1st wk of Oct. It was absolutely gorgeous all the times I have cruised!! Very warm, and then beautiful nts. I can't imagine cruising any other time. It is a cheaper time as well....BONUS Our kids don't get fall break but I find it to be not as overwhelmed with kids..I mean enough but nothing like I am sure spring break time is. It makes it so nice for the kids onboard.

I will be making our web page for this cruise. For everyone --I will add kids names, ages at time of cruise, adult names(no ages necessary), um what ur celelbrating if anything...umm if you are participating in the FE(fish extender) or the SM(secret Mickey), dining and show times u have chosen, as well as any allergies that might effect FE exchanges...such as food, latex, etc.
Feel free to give me this info so I can add it. The sooner I keep up with it the better. It becomes a task but I am very organized and like as much info as I can get to get it done. Well I am off to bed...sewing tomorrow!

My girls will be so excited to know there are other friends on the boat to play with. The Magic was wonderful. It was our second cruise and while the Wonder was great, our 7-day was just perfect. I think it helped a lot that we planned so much this time.
My oldest is much more social than my youngest and she met two friends at the Princess meet on our first sea day. They hung out a lot in the kids club and had a blast! She even got their e-mail address so they can still communicate. It was so cute! So looking forward to this next trip - We upgraded to a oveanview last night because we realized it's not much more a week for the upgrade and we think it will be worth it, not just for the porthole but because it has a split bath.

Hi there, we love the Magic too. I also have 2 girls, they will be 12 and 9 for the cruise. Courtney, my 7 year old is so excited each time I tell her there is another girl close to her age on the cruise.

Hey everyone. Crazy Week! DD(11)-Syd--has dabce competition on the 29th and now they are in the studio almost daily. Now kids are on Easter break, we have birthday parties, then dance then volunteering in the nursery at church, then Easter, and then heading to Chicago!! Excited to visit Chicago a little bit during any comp breaks.

I have also been busy learning to sew and I made my first shirt. I am in the mist of making 5 shirts for MK. I just wanted to drop in and say hiya!

I am thinking abouere to ask for,t upgrading to verdandah for this cruise just undecided. wanted to surprise DH...he loves the verandah any help on where to book i for??

It's a windy , very rainy day ,today in Maryland! I have my room number for this cruise it's 8506! The others don't have theirs as yet since they will be using Disney points so they cant book as yet! Not sure what all that involves but I am set!

I believe my dil's niece will be coming also and she will be 9 when we cruise also!
