I'm glad that AK has an early close time. I just need to get out of this heat. I'm not sure why this park always feels like a hot box, but it's draining. Back to the hotel.

In the many, many times I've been to HS, I've never seen this show. Apparently, you had not either...what did you think? Headed to the World in 28 days for a week long solo trip so I need some new ideas. Following along!

It was really entertaining. The costumes a quite bright and well done. The production is great, and the performers do a wonderful job of compressing the film down into a 20ish minute performance. It was much better than I expected.

Hello and welcome to Day 4! The time is just flying by already. Next thing you know, I'll be back at work. Yuck. Today is looking like an Epcot kind of day. I have a dinner ADR at Cape May that I'm looking forward to. We'll play the rest by ear. I need a shower in the meantime and a bit of food to get me moving.

I just took the kind of shower that you really only get to take while on vacation, where it takes almost an hour, and by the time it's over, you've cranked the hot water up so high that your skin is red and tingling when you get out and the bathroom is COMPLETELY fogged up to the point that you can't see more than a foot in front of your face and opening the door and stepping back into the room feels like a polar adventure because you've set the AC to 65 so you can bury yourself under the the sheets, blankets, and comforter like an igloo because setting your AC that low at home is completely ridiculous but you're on vacation so why the heck not? That kind of shower. Lunch shortly.

I'm at Flippers Pizzeria for a bit of lunch. As you can see, I ordered the calzone because it called my name. It definitely his the spot right now. The crust has a nice crispy texture to it, and there's a nice amount of cheese. Solid choice for today. I got off to a late start. My original lunch plans hit a snag when the restaurant was closed. Flippers was my choice for last night, but I ended up eating the other half of the previous night's burger and watching TV.

Alright, I'm comfortably full, not "hate myself and question my life choices" full. That's for later tonight. Onwards, to Epcot!

$8 for lunch! My brain is on Disney economics, so I thought they needed up and only charged me for a drink. I've paid as much for way crappier food at home.

We were at WDW in March. I was a winner of the random search too!

I had just stepped away from the bag search table when someone from Special Security Forces extended his arm toward me, in welcome I thought, and said Please step over here for screaming, I mean screening, m'am.

My family was delighted! I'm a matronly woman headed toward 60 and they had to fight the urge to tell him I was nothing but trouble so don't let her appearance fool you. This is true but what happened to family loyalty and all that?!

This is the third day in a row where I've been "randomly" selected for the pleasure of being screened. What I don't get is what they hope to accomplish besides being inconvenient as hell. All three times, I've set of the metal detector and been pulled aside for further screening, but aside from waving the wand song and looking official, nothing has happened. My belt buckle has set off the wand all three times, but they never actually check that it's a belt buckle and not something actually dangerous, like a knife or gun. So, in theory, I would have been cleared by security if I had a gun in the front of my waist band because the only purpose this serves is to make people feel like they are safe, instead of promoting actual safety.
