My friend just sent me a text saying that it was very crowded and that the FP's were all for late times. She said that there was even a line for the Swiss Family Treehouse:scared1:!!! I ask because she was a little dismissive when I suggested using FP's so I am wondeering if it is as crazy as she states?

Wouldn't surprise me too much, it's a long weekend in the US, and Magic Kingdom has EMH until 2am...

We were at the MK Friday and it was pretty crowded.

It is busy today. It's the weekend plus it's a holiday weekend. Nothing unusual.

There was a thread on here earlier of someone warning people to not even enter DHS, they said it was crazy there.

We were at DHS today, it was f-ing horrific. Luckily we had already done most everything on a dead day, we didn't make the rope drop but got there at 9:50. The line for the bag check was 10 minutes. I sent DH ahead with his park ticket and no bags and he got a FP for tower of terror and got in the RNR line - the single rider line was closed because the CM said it was so long it was out of control. We headed to the HISTK playset and hung out there for 45 minutes until DH was off the rides, which worked out well, but the play area was packed when we left. We did a couple shows, used our ADR at sci-fi then took off. Navigating the streets was horrible, it was like leaving MK right after the fireworks everywhere you went. Blech. Epcot tomorrow we think because its a recommended park and its the best park on a busy day.

Oh, we walked pass TSM around noon, the posted wait was 150 minutes! (FP all sold out of course) Closer to the front of the park DH overheard a mom say to her kid 'Oh look, there is a toy story ride honey, lets do that!'. :rotfl:

I was at Epcot on Friday and it was pretty darn busy, at least compared to the rest of the week

Just spoke to DD who's at MK right now. She said it's very crowded. She also said the Tiki room is closed, anyone know why? didn't see this listed anywhere as being closed.

Probably because of the fire there the other night.

There was a small fire there earlier this week.

There was a fire in the attic a few nights ago, there is a thread with updates on it somewhere around here

I believe there was a small fire at the Tiki Room a few days ago.

Agreed. We were there Friday as well and it WAS busy. Of course there was a night time EMH as well. The rest of the week was pretty slow though.

On my way home from MK now at it was packed, but we had no problems with fastpasses and got to do everything we wanted! All in all it was a great day, except the part about having to go home!

We were in MK today and got there by about 9am. Straight into Fantasy land for dgks and very short wait for peter pan. While we were waiting dh went and got fast passes for buzz and then joined us.After peter pan walk on to IASW and then a bout 20 in for Winnie the Pooh.. The kids enjoyed the play area of the line. Over to Buzz to use the fast passes and a few other minor rides there with no lines. We spent until about 123o on rides then move it parade and castle show at 1:15 and out the door to go home and swim. Our dgks are young (6 and 3) and they were very happy and had a great day. No overtired melt downs. I think the key is going early and having a plan. We found out that the new Rapunzel meet and greet is an interactive visit and it had a long line. Cast member suggested it is best to get there as soon as the park opens and catch the first show at around 9:15. They are coming back in Feb so that will be our plan. Everyone have a great time.

My Uncle Orville ;) is heading to MK for EMH; he said there are still long lines to get in even now.

Seems the 3-day weekend drew in a LOT of people. I'm beginning to think there isn't really a slow season anymore; it was crowded when we were there in October, which I read about always being a slow time.

Thanks all, I just got a text from her they headed back to the hotel an hour ago and said that the magic has worn off. The funny thing is when she first started mentioning the trip I suggested she look at Touring Plans as a subtle way of telling her that Pres. Day weekend was not the best time to go. Well the day before they left for the trip she said "what was the name of that website?" Pointless as the trip and ressies had already been made and hoppers were not purchased. I gave her the website again and told her to check out the touring plans to get a jump on the crowds. Fast forward to today when she was texting with me and to make her feel a little better I sent a text saying " I know touring plans has today as a 7, can you even imagine what a 9 or 10 looks like?" To which she replied "Wow! That's strange, when I checked the day before we left it was a 3". Now I know that's not true because I have been checking my dates almost every day to see if there have been any changes and her dates have remained at 7's.

I just hate it when you try to help someone and you can just see it backfiring.

we were in WDW from 1/11 until today. First few days were awesome 5-10 minute waits- and most of those were really walk ons. Went to DHS on Saturday had a good plan- my dd and I rode TSM twice husband and 2 year old rode it three times- Tower of Terror twice and RRC twice- went to a few shows and left when the two year old wet her pants.:fish: Of course that was the first day I forgot a change of clothes. Only missed out on two things we wanted to do- went to MK that night- KEYRAZY! Went on Big Thunder Mountain twice, Snow White, Buzz, People Mover, Haunted Mansion and saw Rapunzel- actually not too bad considering we were only there for about three hours! Lots of teams there for the long weekend. Luckily, most of them didn't get there until Saturday. Our resort POFQ was nutso when we left today. Glad we came home today and will get an extra day of rest tomorrow.:thumbsup2::yes::
