Wow! What a great trip so far! THIS MORNING WAS COLD!!!! It was 57 degrees and we wore long pants and sweatshirts! Last night we went to Artist Point and it was good. I had a tomato salad with aged balsamic vinegar and my DH had the grill trio-- beef tenderlion, ostrich and lamb chop. It was excellent! We had dessert in the Concierge. The food in the Concierge is enough for me for a meal but my DH wants Beef!!!! I eat very little and mostly veggies so I love it! We did 2 wine seminars at EPCOT. They were advanced seminars and one was by Villa Sandi and the other was Silverado! Great!
This morning we went to MK at opening at 9am and went on all the FL rides without any wait. We used FP for Pooh and PP. We ate lunch again at LTT. DH had pot roast and I had a salad--great lunch again for $20.00 before tip. We left by 1 p.m. to go back to the room for a quick nap.
We then met some friends at EPCOT and walked around the world twice doing the food and wine festival and had some beer and wine and some food. Made it back to the Concierge by 5 p.m. for some canapés. There was coconut chicken, corn dogs, cucumber/onion salad, veggie wraps, chicken quiche, roast beef roses in cream cheese in a tiny pastry tart, cheeses and crackers, veggies and fruits galore, gummi worms and mini peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the kiddies, and "ants on a log"--celery sticks filled with peanut butter and topped with raisins. Wine choices were chardonnay, white zinfandel, merlot and a cabernet sauvignon. Due to the time change from Daylight Saving Time, although the clock said 5 p.m., the guests' tummies said 6 p.m.--so it was crowded at opening and everyone was wolfing down the goodies. We have been meeting a lot of nice people at the Concierge room and I have introduced a lot of people to the DIS boards.
Tonight we took a walk around the Boardwalk--nice and cool! We sat in the BC lobby playing a silly game called "BOP IT" with my sister and her husband. People were walking by chuckling at our antics!
Right now I am in my room using my cell phone free minutes and my sister's laptop to post this. So, I am saving $10.00 and taking my time reading and typing. : )
Tomorrow is supposed to be partly cloudy and in the high 70's. No rain, but windy. We plan on going to MGM in the morning, napping in the afternoon, and enjoying our PS at V&A for the regular dining room.
I will try to post in a few days. Thanks for all of your kind responses. I am still wearing my lime green ribbon but have yet to see anyone else wearing one.
LaurenK---thanks for your nice response to my post.
We will be back at the BC in February. Maybe we will meet up again. Good Night from the Beach Club at Walt Disney World!
