Was anyone able to watch the DL resort fireworks this past weekend from their room facing the pool?

Someone told me last night that people were able to see the fireworks from the upper floors of the villas that were on the far end of the wing. If you care too low down or too close to the hotel side, I think the building blocks view of the sky...

Here is a link to 2 videos I made of the 1 bedroom side. The 2 bedroom is just the studio (pix on this thread) plus the 1 bedroom joined by a lockoff door. It's just beautiful!

There are two rooms circled (and the bank of elevators ). Our room was the studio. The big one (on the end) was the place where the
DVC reception in the Grand Villa was held (on 9/23/09). The CM at check in circled it so we could find our
way to the party.

Those were some spectacular pictures - especially DCA at night!! When we were at DLR last December, we walked through the GCV models - loved them!

Hey Wide Eyed Wonder, by any chance are you in 4502? We stayed there Saturday and your view looks identical to the one we had, right down to the angle of the barbeque (we used it too). It was fun watching the park in action, a little noisy on the balcony though (Mulholland Madness screaming patrons). I spun the chair in front of the window around and watched while listening to the Ipod which was plugged into the TV. No doubt, these will be preemo rooms when WOC comes online. Sixth floor viewing platform was locked, so that was disappointing.

I was in room 5502, just above you last Wednesday (9/23). It is the best view and the rooms on this side will be in demand once the WOC starts and the park renovations are done.

I was checked in a standard hotel room this past weekend (a MS problem with my studio booking) and faced the front of the hotel where you drive up to check in. It was nice and quiet, boring view though, fourth floor. After that I am really going to love my villas for now on. We will be back in 4 weeks for the Treat or Treating Party.
