Live from the Polynesian with pictures

Great Photos!

Thanks for taking the time to post them. I miss "MY POLY" so much!

That little dining table is so cool! THanks you so much for posting a picture of it. You can't imagine how happy I am to see it.

Loved all your pictures. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the pics. I am sooo happy they replaced those awful hairdryers.

Hi Lyn!! :wave2:

Thanks so much for posting the pictures. John and I will be at the Polynesian in 3 weeks!!! You got some great shots of the room that I hadn't seen before, such as that pull-out table, and a close-up of how the new outlets in the desk area are positioned.

How did Matt's GF like the resort, and WDW in general? I remember when you weren't sure whether to choose the Polynesian or the Grand Floridian.

Thanks again for sharing all of the pictures with us! :3dglasses

Hugs from our family to yours! :grouphug:

I hope these pictures show everything that everyone wanted to see. If not let me know and I can answer questions.

On a side note I found it very funny that the Polynesian spared no expense remodeling the rooms but yet they left the old green bed lights over the beds. They didn't even paint them? :confused3 Go figure!

Lyn

THose lights and head board are not part of the new design and are going to be replaced when they get the items in. Here is a photo of what it is going to look like.

The reason the lights have not been changed is because the new lights are part of the headboard.

This trip was just for Bob and I. Matt and his girl friend are going with us next summer. It was really nice to get away just the two of us.

I know you and John are going to have a great time.

Tell everyone I said hello. :grouphug:

Lyn,
Thanks for the great photos! I too liked the one of the table. I can't wait to see it all for myself in just 1 week!

See you in 12 hours Lyn, we arrive tonight to the Poly, thanks for posting the pics!

Great pictures! Thanks so much for sharing them! I always love to read and see anything to do with the Polynesian! :)

I am sure this has been addressed and that I could find the answer on Steve's site, but I'm being lazy so here goes...I am assuming the new refrigerators are built in. Or are they still something you have to request?

Thanks!

Thanks Lynn for your pics they are lovely. The poly resort is our favorite place at wdw.

Deb.

How are two people supposed to eat at that table though?! Is there another chair somewhere? My dh and I love to have romantic meals together with our spectacular lagoon/castle view from Hawaii--will we still be able to do that with that table and one chair? LOL

You couldn’t find the answer on my site :earseek: :earseek:

On the rooms page there is a photo of the old request refrigerator and a photo of the new one (built into the closet area) so yes they are built into the new rooms and are much larger than the old ones.

There is a chair in the corner also and new chairs out on the patio or balcony unless you get a second floor without a balcony.

By the way it looks like the prediction of Hawaii opening on Monday looks accurate. They are going to be in on Sunday moving their stuff back in.

Aloha

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Now I am more motivated to sell on EBay, save my lunch money, and consignment shop! I AM going next Fall to the Poly...you can quote me on that!

Thanks for posting the pics! Glad you had a good time. :)

Now that's more like it! It looks fantastic with the dark wood headboard and new lights. I hope I get a new room when I stay in July!

Great pictures!

My 16 year old son was particularly impressed with the rainbow over the Contemporary! laugh... I preferred the pictures of the Poly!

Thanks for sharing them!

Hi Pamlet. I see you're originally from the San Antonio area. Howdy! I had a cousin who worked at Disney for 2 years. He moved back January 2005. I wish he had stayed a little longer to get us hookups. :rotfl: Oh well. What's a few bucks more for such a memorable trip. :goodvibes

The wife and I saw the Wishes show from the beach at the Poly 12/03. It was really magical taking it all in from that distance and plan on staying at the Poly next season if we can find a descent enough discount code.
