We had lunch at Liberty Tree Tavern, which I would do again. We generally try to avoid table service lunches, but it's happened a lot this trip. LTT was one of the highlights of that.
We also ran into the MK Philharmonic while we were in Liberty Square:
Afterwards, the darndest thing happened - Q & W wanted to ride Haunted Mansion. So, T took them ("oh, but honey! I've already gone - you should go!"
) while C and I rode small world (I told you it was my favorite!)
Afterwards, we rode the carousel, then PhilharMagic, then Pirates, then we just chilled for a bit until it was time for our Splash Mountain FP.
After Splash Mountain (where I was stuck in the front row and proceeded to get SOAKED), we rode the train to the Main Street Station, where we arrived just in time for the Flag Retreat.
C had read somewhere (probably in a scout magazine) that it fulfilled an arrow point requirement, so he was excited to see it.
The Barber Shop Quartet just before:
And the actual retreat:
So then, it was off to Epcot for dinner (eat around the world - hooray!!)
Mexico, nachos. China, eggrolls. Germany, brats (And HELLO!! Breaking news!!! They no longer have brown mustard available. Because nothing says delicious like a brat and sauerkraut and YELLOW MUSTARD. Blech).
But, while in Germany, W did make some friends around a rousing game of soccer:
America, Funnel Cakes (or, as I first thought the sign said "Funnel Carbs". Pretty much the same thing!). Nothing in Italy, because by then we were STUFFED. And by Japan, I was just ready for my slushie, so I was over any thought of teriyaki. Bypassed Morocco (because I was on a mission) and finally, France.
I like to call this - taking one for the team:
Because when Mom finally gets her Grand Marnier Grey Goose slushie, the world may begin rotating again.
So, from there, we crossed the English Channel and let the kids run like wildebeests in the hedge maze, where they met other children doing the same, and I met other parents who all wanted to know where I found the decadence that is the slushie.
And then, when the big announcer voice man came over the PA to say it was 15 minutes to IllumiNations, we rounded up the herd and beat feeted it out of there.
Which brings us to now, when everyone is showered and in bed, T is faux-watching game 2 of the NBA Finals, and I'm wrapping this up so I can shower and go to bed, too.
Tomorrow is breakfast at 'Ohana, after which you'll find my laziness in a lounge chair in a cabana, and then dinner at Artist Point. I remember looking at tomorrow on our itinerary at the beginning of the trip and thinking it was so far away! Now, here it is
