grrrr - just had today's post typed up and the mi-fi died!!! Trying again, but will have less detail, because it's 10 o'clock already........
last night - water pageant:
This morning - DHS for Star Wars Weekend - and were there at 8 to be ready for rope drop at 9.
Only, when we got there, it was already open!!!! So, we walked in and walked on TSM, NO WAIT. Also grabbed FP for later.
Headed to Star Tours (and were shocked an a little sick to see the stanchions they had set up for the lines they were expecting - all along the pathway beside the Tatooine Trading Post!!!
).
We walked on here, too, and grabbed FP (our window had just opened).
From there, headed to Muppets 3D, which is a perennial favorite. I love the queue, and always find something I've never noticed before. Apparently, I've never looked up, because this is what I found this time:
Out we came, into a Star Wars meet & greet. We were a few groups back from getting Commander Rex, but were equally happy with Commander Cody:
By now, our window for TSM FP had started, so we headed back. Always fun! The standby line by now (10:30 ish) was 60 minutes.
Off to ABC Commissary for lunch (because it was close, pure and simple), then we lucked into a great spot for the Star Wars parade. Front row meant lots of interaction, including high fives from Clone Trooper Donald!!
Hand a cute 8 yo boy a camera, and the characters respond. Stand behind him, and you can get the great pictures, too

Ventress:
Now it's back to Star Tours to use our FP. And we were thrilled to have them, because those stanchions are FULL!!!!!! Blech.
Afterwards, they forced you to exit back by Muppets, and guess who we ran into??
Apparently the Tri State Area school district finally made up all those snow days, because summer vacation is in full swing!!
The queue was stagnant, sunny, and unbearably hot. So hot, in fact, that my lens filter cracked in the heat!!! Off duty CMs were in line ahead of us, and they were discussing the line modifications that would be needed. Shade drapes and misting fans were on their list - I hope they happen!! It was awful.
From there it was ice cream, great movie ride (a necessity!), Tower of Terror, and a little shopping. By then, we were fed up with the heat and crowds, so we left. It certainly wasn't a regular day for us at DHS, but we hit our highlights and were happy.
Tonight was dinner at Capt Cooks (average, but the grown up grilled cheese *is* good) and pool time.
Tomorrow is Epcot, with lunch at Via Napoli and dinner at Nine Dragons.
And now, for the second time - g'night all! This better post this time!!!
