What happened to "age" before "beauty???" Remember Jim, I'm one month older than Rae!!! LOL!!!

Enjoy the shrimp, and don't pass up on the Orange Mango Soup, take a sip of that for me. Of course for Rae's sip, you will have to add some rum!!! LOL!!!

Well since you asked...
When you sit down your server brings you a glass of champagne and a glass of seriously fresh orange juice.
the center table of the buffet is loaded with shrimp, the BIG ones not the peel and eat ones you get at the embarkation buffet, huge alaskan crab legs, smoked salmon, various lunch meets including an excellent proscuitto, salads.. very interesting ones such as a fennel salad...
There is a seperate table with assorted breads rolls and 5 or 6 excellent cheeses...
Another table has breakfast type baked goods...muffins, cinnamon rolls etc
At the back near the open kitchen is a display with the hot entrees for the day, you order these from your server... I may not get them all but I remember eggs benedict. eggs anna (same with salmon instead of canadian bacon) pancakes, french toast, omelettes...
from the dinner side orchietto pasta, filet of beef, salmon...
THEN there's a table with their various pizza's ... mahgarita, pepperoni... and the FAMOUS desert pizza..this is to die for
YET another table has the deserts... tiramasu... choclate pastries, lemon meruinge pie.
I am SURE I have missed a lot, it's incredible!!

Did I mention that we are doing Palo for Dinner tonite? It was also unbelivable!!!

ARRRGGGHHHHH!

Why the torture?!!!!

Champagne, FRESH OJ, non-shrimpy shrimp, eggs benedict, smoked salmon, tiramisu. And Palo tonight??!

Stop it- you're hurting me!!!!!!

(Note to self: start working on DH to book another cruise. Soon.)

Alex, if you like Diversions DON'T MISS the little skit they put on Friday night......it's was the funniest thing I ever saw. Tell Pierre that Ron.....the miller lte guy from the last Eastern sailing says hi.

Wow Alex you are making me hungry! Thx for sharing so many details of your trip. A few ?s.....who is the DJ on your ship right now? When we sailed last summer it was also alittle rough, someone needs to provide them with a top 40 list! How was 70s night? Who was your favorite CM character? We had such a blast last summer on this night. It was the highlight of our trip. By any chance did you go to Match Your Mate?

Best wishes for a great trip!!!

We are here on the Magic as well. My daughter and his have been practically joined at the hip since the first evening (but today is port day, so we have surgically separated them for at least part of the day so our family can do an excursion together!). Last night, his daughter and another one of my oldest's new friends joined us for dinner since both of their parents were doing Palo. So there I was with 6 kids, 3 of which were almost like triplets (but at least they were the oldest in the bunch, not the youngest!).

Looking out the window here at the internet cafe, I can see the lights of the island. We are supposed to be docking in about 45 minutes. I need to run back to the room to be there for my wakeup call (LOL... like *I* needed it!) and maybe can catch some pictures of the sunrise...

More later.

Karen

I have a daughter????
OH yes we have seen her for a whole 10 or 15 minutes this trip :)
We did crack up though apperantly Karen insisted that her DD eat at least one meal with them in every resteraunt and last nite was animators palate. The 3 musketeers original plan was to eat at topsiders. After Karen put her foot down the little schemers got dressed up just to join them.
DD reports the club activities for her age group, she's 11 are too babyish this time so they have been making their own fun.
They are having a serious blast though. They got to the theater about 45 minutes early so they could get the front row center seats for Golden Mickeys... they didn't save seats for their parents mind you :)
OH well... guess we should go see some of St. Maartin.

OH I forgot to mention the really strange part.
DD comes down to the new sports bar, where we are watching monday nite football, tells us she is going back to the cabin to watch the game (a true fan, her mother was so proud). We get back to the cabin and she decided to "clean up". I mean the place is immaculate. All the papers and camera's and other stuff that were all over the place are neatly organized, she's found spots for everything..she is definitely brown nosing for something!

Alex,

How old is DD.

My DD is just turned 12. Are there kids there in that age group?

She's a bit worried about "Too old for the little kids, too young for the big kids"

Jim

PS: Andy, After being married (to an older woman), ladies first trumps age before beauty.

Jim,

I'm married to an older woman as well, she has me by 13 months and 17 days, she never lets me forget it either!!! LOL!!!

Enjoy the shrimp regardless, it won't be long now!!! I know I'll be tasting that shrimp and orange mango soup on Saturday afternoon!!!

Have a blast on CC when you get there on the 26th!!!

Andy,

Mine is 2.5 yrs older. Figure we can die at the same time.

Guess which excursion I'm doing on CC?

Jim

Alex, you had my mouth watering with your in-depth description of Palo brunch! I can hardly wait! 2 months to go!!

Say hi to Ann for me!

My guess would be fishing and parasailing and if you go on the BBR, don't take any glasses along, goggles would be a good idea though to keep the salt water out of the eyes!!!

jcalecpa, DD is 11...
what happend was Karen was in chat one nite and saying how her DD didn't want to go on the cruise for the same reason. I told her to have her DD e my DD and my cruise vet DD managed to get her turned around. They met the third member of the club on board and have been out of our hair and having a blast ever since.
We didn't plan an excursion for St. Maarten figuring we would just walk around and explore (to DW this means shop). She found a deal on a ring she had been looking for so I figured after beating the guy down I was safe. (we decided we would buy our christmas presents on the cruise)
We stopped for lunch at a sort of half local/half american taste resteraunt on the beach. DD and I walked down to the water while we were waiting and met the local wave runner rider and thought it might be fun to take a spin.
It was 40 dollars for 2 people for half an hour, much cheaper than an excursion. It always seems to me the throttle these things down or govern them for tourists.
NOT THIS TIME!!
This thing was a full blown Yamaha and it SCREAMED...
OMG we had so much fun it should be illegal!!! They gave us no instruction whatsoever except start here, throttle here..
It was just unbelievable!! I had never been on one of these things before and they just smoke!!
I did discover they have a rule about going too far into the open ocean... especially considering there was a pretty good surf.
My clue was one of the locals on a wave runner chasing us down :)
Either way it was a total blast..have I mentioned that yet???

Oh, that wave runner sounds like fun! DS would love that...:hyper: He says: the faster, the better.

Where's dinner tonight?

HOLD ONTO THOSE GLASSES!!!!!

If Alison hadn't been hanging on to my life jacket I might have opened it up all the way..with her on the back I didn't dare..as it was we were planing and pounding from wave to wave..just insane..
Dinner tonite was at Lumiere..the tropicalifagilisticepealidocious menu... yes I know I just killed the spelling on that!!
Then the Deck Party!! an Awesome time!!
