We checked in yesterday Friday, June 20th and with the exception of a housekeeping issue the rooms are very nice. I love the look of this hotel especially the rooms :) It has rained both days but not for long and then has cleared up. We are having a great time, Magic Kingdom was open until 2:00 a.m. last night which we took advantage of. If anyone needs to know anything please ask and I will see if I can help out. This is a awesome hotel, very convenient.

Thanks for the update and have a great time. :thumbsup2

Also while your there can you please tell me if construction of Chef Mickey's Express has started yet?

Yes, we were having something to eat at the Grab and Go on Friday and they were demoing Chef Mickey's (I believe, if it is the one right near the Grab and Go?) it was quite LOUD!! Luckily they are off for the weekend :) We were at the pool yesterday and the construction of the new hotel (DVC) didn't bother us at all. I didn't realize that the pool is only 3ft 6" deep? the quiet pool is only 5ft? The water was warm but still refreshing. The lifeguards had the kids up and doing games and playing music and getting people in the pool to do the YMCA song they were having a good time. We will be dining at the California Grill tomorrow night for my sons 15th birthday :) They are also showing movies down by the beach at night but we haven't gotten there yet. Hope that helps.

:listen: How are the crowds?? This is debate I would like to solve before I leave in 8 days. I'm hoping it won't be to bad.:surfweb:

Honestly, I don't think it is that bad. My suggestion to anyone is to get to the parks early and do as many things as you can before most of the crowds rolls in. Also, Fast Pass :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We just got done watching the fireworks from our balcony, we are on the 9th floor. It was really nice to be able to watch from our room. Had dinner tonight at the Whispering Canyon, we took the boat over and were there in 3 minutes. Sorry for you Whispering Canyon fans but this was our second time there and sad to say our last. The food was not so good, the waiters/waitresses were really putting on a show tonight which was funny but after you sit there for 2 hours you get

Just a quick note to anyone packing for a trip for the Summer months here, it has rained at some point everyday since we have been here. So all I can say is don't forget the Poncho's :) :)

Blizzard Beach was a blast today ::yes:: I don't know if the overcast day stopped people from going but it was not too crowded :confused3 we hardly had to wait for anything, we floated in the Melt away Bay while it was raining. I am thinking that those may be the best days for the Water Parks.

We are off to the California Grill for Dinner for Konnor's Birthday I pre-ordered a Mickey Cake a couple of weeks ago hopefully we have no problems getting it. I have some read some posts on the Birthday Cake thread where some folks have had some issues with getting their cakes (Fingers crossed)

We leave Thursday and it looks like RAIN RAIN and more RAIN in Disney...any reports on what the weather is like would be appreciated:)

They seem to have rain in the forecast everyday? Don't worry it has rained everyday we have been here but it showers and then it clears up it doesn't last. Like I said Poncho's Poncho's Poncho's, it has been really nice even with the brief showers. Everyone puts on a poncho and keeps going :thumbsup2 You won't mind it.

Aww thanks, we just got back from dinner at the California Grill and I have to say we have dined here before and the service and food are always awesome!!! Our reservation was delayed for 20 minutes so we ended up being there for Wishes :) They had Mickey confetti on the table and upon our arrival the hostess wrote his name on a Birthday pin, I love that restaurant :) He got his Mickey cake with no problem, I had ordered right from the Contemporary bakery a couple of weeks ago. He got 3 birthday balloons and a card from Mickey in our room too. He is a good sport for being 15 ;)

I just really need to know, is it that bad in the parks?? On another thread they are making out to be horrible!! Shoulder to shoulder in the parks. I just want to prepare myself we leave in a week from today and I figure if I have to DD and I will stay at the pool at BC.popcorn::

Its crowded but I don't think it is that bad. It is hot, today especially we didn't get to Hollywood Studios until 10:30ish since my daughter and husband did the parasailing at 9:30. It was too late in the day so my plans are usually do the parks early go to the pool or water park then a park in the evening after dinner and after the sun goes down. Take advantage of the Extra Magic Hours they do help. Don't worry just go with the flow and enjoy yourself we are heading to the pool now to relax.
