My husband and I have come to the end of our 2 week trip and are currently in the Guest House at Sanford Airport waiting for our flight back to the UK.
We stayed at the Liki Tiki Resort on 192 (West). We had a delayed check in as the reception could not locate our reservation, however, they did say this was not there fault but they always get this with the travel company we use. They were very friendly and helpful and met our request for a room in block 1200. They then gave us a slip of paper and directed us to another desk for our welcome pack. THIS IS A TIME SHARE SELL - we kept on saying no and eventually got our pack which was a few sachets of hand cream and a one serving box of cereal. If we had known we would have just skipped this!
Onto the most important - DISNEY - the parks were so so quiet! We walked on just about everything - the longest wait we had was 20 mins for the TOT. The best thing was Everest was running on the day we were at Animal Kingdom and we got to ride 3 times on the trot!!!! We went back on the second week and they were having technical difficulties but told us to get a fast pass and check back - we did and got right back on !!
On our first night we went to Epcot for Illuminations and still no fire barge. We took the illuminations cruise 3 nights later and it was back!
The one downside we found on this trip is where have all the characters gone?? I know the bus has gone at Epcot (BRING THIS BACK) but there used to be lots hanging around the hat at MGM and around the entrance to MK. Disney need to relook at this quick!!
