Well here we are sitting in our room in the 1960's building at Pop watching ER and catching up on the DIS. :earsgirl: :earsboy:

So far good/great things about this trip, everything....
So far the bad.... no TIVO....oh I am soooo lost without my TIVO, never watched ER w/ commercials before! :teeth:

I got done with work at 3:30 and we made a quick stop home to pick up a few things before heading over to Pop. We arrived shortly after 5pm and check-in went smoothly and we were assigned a room in the 60's prefered building 2nd floor. We tried to stay here last year but each time we were unable to secure a room so we were pretty excited to finnally "be here".

My first tip; make sure to read the map well or ask if your not sure of your room location we looped around and around looking for our room...lol.

When we arrived the room was very clean and well stocked, our room although on the back side of the building is close to the pool and lobby area and we wish we were going to be staying longer so that we could enjoy this location.

After we unpacked we went to the bus pick-up to catch a bus to MGM and transfer to AKL for dinner at Bomas.

We left our room around 6:20pm and arrived at AKL about 6:50pm for our 7:30pm ressies. Our bus driver was great and he even pointed out the bus stops we needed to take and reminded us over the intercom, we felt like VIPS.

We checked in and were seated by 7:05 or so. Tonight's rotation included potato/bacon soup, shrimp coscos salad, lamb potridge, salmon, gumbo, etc. Everything was wonderful and the lamb was very tasty. We love BOMA and we're glad we visited again. For desert they offered Zembra Domes, Coconut Tiramisu, Banana Bread Pudding, Blueberry Cheesecake, and Morocan Nut Rolls. We tried it all and left stuffed but happy.

Once again our driver was wonderful and when we told him we were headed to PC (although he was heading to DTD then back to AKL) he took us to PC after one stop, how nice!!

After working all night and day today we decieded to enjoy the room for tonight and relaxed and now are watching some t.v while I post and plan tomorrow.

Tomorrow we have ressies for Ohana's Breakfast w/ Lilo and Stitch and then we plan on visiting M.K, then head to EPCOT in the afternoon to meet up with my mom and brother for dinner at Beirgarten and EMH's.

Will post more when we get back... ask away if you have any questions or requests. :cool1:

wow you're there. we'll be there for our very first time wed jan 18 - just found this site. how's the weather? many people swimming? I'm so excited....lots to do b4 then though. Any Pop tips would be great. think I want to stay in 50's or 80's (near pool)- complete non-smoking building - likely second floor so we can walk. No need to be near concession cause we'll be at disney all the time. Still no coffeepots there? I am SOOOO envious. Enjoy your time!!!

btw: I did spend several days reading the pop faq thread!! :rotfl:

Nope no coffee pots in the room. We are in the 60's and very close to the pool. There were quite a few people swimming last night when we came in a bit after 9pm. The weather is pretty warm for Jan, I believe it was around 82 yesterday and still warm into the evening.

Sounds like you have a great day lined up for today! :sunny: Have fun! :cool1:
